Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 1085

Yanny was carried into the car by Shayne in his hands.

The woman in his arms was extremely exhausted.

After going through two near death experiences all in a single night, Yanny's mind had become slow and sluggish from the terrifying experiences.

Just as Shayne carried Yanny into his car, he received a phone call from Heaton.

"Hey, I'll go ahead and leave first if you don't show up at base soon. I still have to rush home to sleep and go for my matchmaking session."

Shayne reached out and felt Yanny's forehead while she was semi-conscious on the passenger’s seat. It felt warm as he frowned and changed his tone back to his previously arrogant tone while still sounding a little serious as he said, "Go on ahead then. My wife has a fever and I need to take her to the nearest clinic."

Heaton snorted and said, "Your wife? Has the lady even agreed to you calling her your wife yet?"

"Oh, please."

Shayne hung up the call after snapping back at Heaton.

The black Jeep was speeding through the dark flat plains at night.

Shayne wanted to send Yanny to a clinic as soon as he could just to get some fever medication. However, he was worried of making Yanny feel awful for driving too fast.

It seemed that his entire night had truly been turned upside down by Yanny.

He had never felt as helpless and as anxious as that night in his entire lifetime before.

It took him a really long while to finally drive out of the savannah and onto the main road. It seemed that there was a clinic in the next twenty kilometers. However, Yanny was starting to get delirious from the fever as she laid back onto the passenger’s seat while she was starting to mutter nonsense.

She curled up her body and closed her eyes. However, tears were still flowing out of the corners of her eyes constantly as she muttered in her delusion, "I've never written any letters to Samuel… I've never… Shayne… why won't… you believe me."

Shayne paused for a moment as he grabbed onto his steering wheel while his eyes trembled.

He took a glance back at her and noticed how violently she was crying. He could not help but reach out and gently wipe the warm tears away from the corners of her eyes.

He said, "I know. I know you never wrote any letters to Samuel."

It sounded like he was answering Yanny and also himself at the same time.

His voice sounded soft and gentle. It was filled with intense love.

It was not like he trusted Cara nor was it because he did not have any faith in Yanny. It was nothing more than his own personal jealousy. He was jealous of Samuel for meeting Yanny earlier than him and was also jealous of Samuel to have possessed her entire heart while she was still very naive at sixteen.

Yanny was even willing to elope with Samuel.

Shayne never expected that such a self centered woman like Yanny would actually be willing to give up the entire world just for a person.

The person that Yanny cared so much about was not Shayne but in fact it was Samuel.

Shayne could feel just how calculative and materialistic Yanny was when she was with him. Yanny never opened herself up to Shayne as she was pretty secretive with him.

Yanny was in a complete wreck from the fever and was unable to listen to a word Shayne said. It was so serious that she was already unaware if anyone was even by her side or who exactly that person was.

He did not expect her to be clear or level headed since she had such terrifying encounters with death twice in a day. It was only natural to be completely shell shocked and terrified from the experience.

Yanny continued to mumble in soft fragmented phrases, "Shayne… you're a horrible person… a true b*stard."
