Susan barged into Jinn Group CEO’s office in a rush.

Henry could not stop her. “Miss George, let’s talk things out peacefully. Master Shayne is in the middle of a meeting and it’s inconvenient for him to meet...”

However, Susan was dead set on seeing Shayne right away and pushed Henry aside. “Out of my way!”

When Susan barged into the office, Shayne was in the middle of an international conference call.

“Master Shayne, there’s something I need to ask you!”

Shayne frowned slightly. He told the higher ups on the other end of the call to pause the meeting, then shut his laptop. His expression turned a little cold.

Henry said, “I’m sorry, Master Shayne. It’s my fault for failing to stop Miss George.”

Shayne replied, “You can go.”

Henry nodded slightly, then went out. At that point, only Susan and Shayne were in the office.

“Out with it. What’s the matter?”

At that moment, Susan’s emotions were in a rush. She was indignant from Yanny’s words. Even when it was Master Shayne that sat across her, she had the gall to question him, “Master Shayne, the Jinn Group has given me ample resources over the two years. Why is that? Is it because of my good performance, or is it as the rumor has it that I bear some resemblance to your ex-wife, Yanny, that led to you treating me that way? Are you trying to compensate by projecting your ex-wife onto me?”

Shayne was stunned for a moment. At first, he thought that Susan was unsatisfied with the resources he provided, therefore stirring up a scene. He did not expect Susan to ask about those matters instead.

“Is that important? Are those resources a burden to you?”

Susan gripped her fists tightly and said, “From Master Shayne’s perspective, perhaps I’m no different from the other female artists, just someone that will fawn themselves over some resources and rise up the ranks. However, I, Susan George, will not accept some undeserved compensation, nor would I be someone’s replacement. If Master Shayne wants to repay your ex-wife, then you can look for her. Why would you put them on me and act as though your love is so great?”

Based on Shayne’s temper in the past, if someone dared to speak to him that way, violating his taboo like that, they would have died multiple times over.

However, Shayne merely said with a solemn expression, “I’ll only say this once. Yanny is not my ex-wife. She’s my wife.”

Susan was taken aback, then started laughing mockingly. “So in the end, I’m really Yanny’s replacement! Here I was, innocently believing that Master Shayne saw me as something exceptional that stands out among other artists. I used to stand by your side, stupidly thinking that you might actually like me, hoping that I would be able to get closer with you. However, from the looks of it, those rumors had it right. I’m only a tool for Master Shayne to ease his guilt!”

Susan slammed her contract with the Jinn Group on the edge of the table. The contract even bounced off and hit Shayne in the face.

Shayne merely blinked and did not move out of the way.

Susan roared, “I want to end the contract!”

That contract fell to the side of Shayne’s foot. He gave it a quick glance and said casually, “Go to the legal department for contract termination. I’ll have Henry talk to the legal department.”

Susan was speechless.

What was that?

Susan never dreamt that Shayne would agree to her ending of their contract so easily.

However, they were at the point of no return. There was no backing off.

Susan bit her lips, picked up the contract, then turned around to head for the legal department.
