Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 1178

Shayne’s phone was not broken. It only shut down due to the low temperature.

Yanny charged the phone. A short while later, the phone was on.

Shayne’s password had never changed. After keying it in and turning on the phone, a notification popped up once the phone was connected to the internet.

[Voice Memo has been uploaded successfully.] was what it said

Yanny was a little curious so she immediately opened the voice recording app. She noticed that there was an unnamed file in it. It was recorded 20 hours ago.

‘Twenty hours ago?’

That meant that 20 hours ago, Shayne was still alive and had even used his handphone to record a voice memo.

Yanny could not hide her agitated emotions in her voice as she said to Henty, “Shayne should be still alive. Henry, quickly head up the mountain with the helicopter to search. You must find him within three hours!”

“Yes, Madam!”

When Henry left, Yanny clicked on the voice memo.

The voice memo was probably the last message Shayne left before he passed out.

In the recording, the sound of the wind was loud. There were loud noises of static.

His voice pierced through the terrible snowstorm. It kept coming continuously.

“Yanny…I’m a bastard… Don’t forgive me for the rest of your life… Don’t come and find me too… That’s all.”

When the recording finished playing, the black phone fell from Yanny’s hands.

Her face was full of tears.

Yanny kept crying and laughing, feeling full of mockery.

Was he so childish to think that she would not know that he had met with an accident if he left the voice memo?

Why did he not tell the people around him to completely hide the news that he was in an accident so that she would know nothing about it?

Oh, he wasted so much effort to record the voice memo, let alone leaving his own will.

Shayne was a bastard!

He was the one that begged her for forgiveness, yet he was also telling her not to forgive him.

Did he really think that only his words mattered?

What right did he have to be the only one making the decisions in their relationship?

Just like that? Just like that?

Now, how could it be just like that?

She already knew that he met with an accident.

She already…could not help but start to forgive him.

So just like that?

She was even getting greedier. She did not want it to be just like that.

Yanny hugged the phone, squatting on the floor as she sobbed. Her tears kept falling.

He recorded this voice memo just to tell her to hate him properly and to live well.

Was he so confident that if he died, she would be in pain too?

Shayne was right. He was a complete bastard right from the start.

The 40th hour.

Henry, panting, rushed back from the snow. He pushed open the door, gasping for air as he said excitedly, “Madam, we’ve found Master Shayne!”

Yanny’s gaze was in a daze. Yet in those worn-out eyes, there was a flash of hope.

In one of the high-end hospitals in Switzerland.

When Yanny reached, Shayne was still being resuscitated.

Although his life was still in danger, they had at least found him.

Yanny calmly instructed Henry and said, “Henry, notify Samantha. No matter what the outcome is, I’m afraid she would want to come to Switzerland to find out about it. Old Master Jinn is old, I don’t think he can travel. Samantha is his closest family so she should come.”

“Ok, I’ll do it now.”

Yanny looked at the red bulb being lit outside of the operation theater as she calmly walked to find a seat.

Since Shayne could survive being buried under snow and could still hold on while waiting to be rescued, the resuscitation was nothing serious anymore. He would definitely survive this.

After two hours of resuscitation, the doctor came out of the operation theater.

He said to Yanny in fluent English, “Mister Jinn’s life is not in danger for the time being but because he was buried underground for a long time, there might be some internal damage to his organs and some external injuries. We need to observe him for a period.”

Yanny nodded. She replied, “Okay. When will he wake up?”

“About ten hours later.”

Shayne was transferred to the normal patient’s ward.

Yanny sat by his bed, watching the IV drip’s situation.

Over the night, they changed his medication seven to eight times. There was glucose, vitamins, and some other medication that Yanny did not know about. They kept on changing them.

Yanny sat there for too long. She wanted to stand up and move for a bit. The bottom half of her body was numb.

She did not sleep the entire night.

Until the next morning, Samantha rushed over from North City. Rodney and Zander tagged along.

They must have been worried about Samantha traveling alone once they got the news, so they escorted her there.

At the entrance of the ward, Yanny’s gaze met with Zander’s. It was a little awkward.

Zander did not like Yanny. He always thought that Yanny was a little narrow-hearted and did not care for Shayne. Yanny knew about this.

However, Yanny still politely nodded slightly to Zander.

Zander did not say anything. He followed Rodney and Samantha into the ward to see Shayne.

Samantha cried and pounced on Shayne. “Shayne, why are you not awake yet! You cannot leave me and Grandpa. If you were to leave, what should we do?”

Yanny, who was standing outside the ward, heard Samantha sobbing. She wanted to tell her that her brother was not dead, only resting.

However, Yanny could also understand Samantha’s uncontrollable emotions.

All these years, Samantha grew up without parents. Shayne was more like a father to her than a brother.

All the affairs, be it big or small, were borne by Shayne alone.
