When Shayne recovered, Rodney brought Samantha to travel to Switzerland. Zander went missing in Switzerland too, not knowing which disco bar he was at.
Shayne felt condescended by their actions. Though in namesake they came to visit him in Switzerland, in truth they were there to travel.
However, it was also good that these third-wheels left so they would not disturb his alone time with Yanny.
It was nearing New Year’s Eve. Yanny asked the doctor about Shayne’s situation. The doctor said he could be discharged.
The next morning, Yanny came to the ward to help Shayne pack up his belongings. She said, “The doctor said you’re well and can be discharged.”
Shayne, who was lying in bed, stubbornly refused. “I’m not leaving.”
Yanny was confused at that moment. “Why? You’re well. If you stay here, you’re just wasting social resources.”
Shayne was speechless and defiant. “I’m paying the bill. It’s not that I’m staying here for free.”
Yanny looked at him on the bed and asked, “So you’re not going back for the New Year’s? Do you plan to stay in the hospital for New Year’s Eve? Won’t Old Master Jinn be worried for you?”
Shayne totally forgot about spending New Year’s. He raised his eyebrows and proudly pretended to not care as he asked, “Then, will you go back with me to spend the New Year?”
“Nope, I’m going back to London.”
Hearing her determined tone, Shayne was disappointed. He stubbornly said, “Then I’m not leaving the hospital. My entire body is still in pain, why should I discharge? My injuries have not healed completely. You’re willing to let me go back alone? If I’m beaten up and made crippled, would you be willing to let it happen?”
Yanny smiled and looked at him. “Are you a vase, so easily smashed to pieces?”
“I'm a vase now,” Shayne said awkwardly as his face sank.
Yanny took his coat out from the closet, folded it properly, then threw it into the luggage. “Grandma and Hajar are still in London. Even if we want to go back for the New Year’s, I have to take them back as well.”
Shayne’s eyes brightened. “That’s simple, I’ll just follow you back to London to pick Grandma and Hajar.”
Yanny was speechless.
“If you don’t say anything, I’m going to assume you’re agreeing to it.”
Yanny looked at him helplessly and retorted, “I thought your entire body is still in pain? And will be smashed to pieces the moment you’re touched? How could you still follow me back to London?”
Shayne was slightly awkward and coughed a little. “… It seems like my body is not hurting so much anymore. Anyway, why do you believe my words so easily? Who would be crippled just upon touch?”
Yanny suddenly shouted at him as if something had happened. “Shayne Jinn.”
“You’re willing to agree to let me accompany you to London to pick Grandma and Hajar?”
“I’m saying I haven’t forgiven you yet, alright?”
Shayne was speechless. He laid spread-eagle on the bed, shutting his eyes as he pretended to be unconscious.
Yanny looked at his thuggish look, her lips curling up into a smile.
To be able to fool Shayne, her mood was great.
After that, Yanny went to the hospital to complete the discharge procedures.
Rodney and Samantha had long left Switzerland to give them space.
Zander had also done so as well. He was probably somewhere in Switzerland with some woman.
Henry was also already sent back to North City by Shayne to deal with the company.
Therefore, Shayne and Yanny were left alone.
Shayne had just recovered from a serious illness. When he came out of the hospital, he did everything slowly and without haste.
It was a relaxed journey.
At the airport, Shayne leaned in closer to Yanny. He asked in a thuggish yet polite manner, “You really won’t allow me to go to London? Are you sure you won’t miss me?”
Yanny stuffed his air ticket and passport into his hands. She urged him to board his flight. “Your flight is taking off in thirty minutes. Go.”
Shayne took his air ticket and passport. He took two steps forward, then turned back and called her, “Yanny.”
“What is it now?”
“Promise me that this is not the last time we’ll be seeing each other.”
Yanny looked at him with a serious expression. She could not help but wave at him from a short distance. “I’ll see you, Shayne.”
Shayne asked again, “Yanny, what is our relationship now?”
Yanny rolled her eyes and thought for a while. “Let’s just start from being ordinary friends.”
