Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 148

At nine o'clock in the evening, after showering Little Jelly Bean and putting her to bed, she walked out of the children's room.

As soon as she went out, she ran into Heaton.

He was apparently waiting for her at the door, but Verian did not show due respect for him, so she pursed her lips and said. "I showered Little Jelly Bean. It's getting late, so I'm going home."

As she was saying, she turned around and wanted to leave, but Heaton gently held her wrist.

The man lowered his handsome face, and his black eyes looked at her deeply. "You've taken care of Jelly Bean. Now you should also take care of me."

"... What care do you need?"

He was a 32-year-old. What kind of care did he need? Couldn't he take care of himself?

Verian saw his deep and darkened glance and wanted to escape. The man's left arm held her slender waist and carried her abruptly.

"Hey... Put me down."

She was afraid of being heard by the others in the mansion. She was also afraid that Heaton holding her with one of his hands would cause her to fall. Unconsciously, both of her hands tightly embraced his neck.

She struggled and said with a low voice.

"Let me down, quickly."

Seeing the man unmoved, she moved her body a few more times.

Heaton frowned his eyebrows and said in a deep voice. "Don't move randomly. My right hand is injured so I can't carry you with both hands. If you move again, I can't carry you anymore."

Her face was suddenly red. The big hand that was locked around her waist held her a little tighter.

What he meant was that he was picking fault on her?

"I didn't ask you to hold me."

Heaton held her into his room and put her on his big bed.

As soon as Verian was put down, she got up and said. "Why do you take me to your room? I didn't say I'd stay here for the night."

"You still get into a temper with me?"

Verian stood aside and lowered her head in dejection. Absent-mindedly, she played with her fingers and muttered. "The old man asked you how the daughter from the Yaleman family was. Didn't you say she's quite good? Since she's good, why are you still pestering me?"

The tone of her complaint sounded like a grunt from a wife. Heaton lowered his head to get close to her. His thin lips curved.

"The daughter from the Yaleman family was not bad. At least she's not as jealous as you."

"..."

Who did he describe as being jealous?

"I'm leaving. Anyway, the old man doesn't like me."

When she walked to the bedroom door, Heaton strode over and pressed her against the door panel.

Verian was extremely shocked. She lifted up her head and looked at him in a daze "W-What do you want to do?"

Heaton looked at her watery eyes, and his deep eyes became darkened. They had not done it for so long. What did she think he wanted to do it?

"Stay here tonight."

Almost subconsciously, she blurted out. "I don't want to."

Heaton sank his face, and Verian thought that he became unhappy. However, the man got close to her ear and said with his low and hoarse voice. "But, I miss you very much."

Hearing his words, Verian's eyes turned slightly red.

She took a deep breath, bit her lips, and stared at him. Her little hands grabbed his shirt as she asked in a serious manner. "Do you miss me, or you just wanna do that thing with me...?"

It was the first time she had the courage to ask about it.

She could not feel how much Heaton liked her as a person. Most of the time, Heaton needed her and was interested in her in terms of body.
