Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 15

Fudd Family Mansion.

When Kush Xavier sent the DNA report to the mansion, he only saw Nancy Xander in the living room downstairs.

"Director Xander, is Boss back yet?"

Nancy looked out at the yard. "His car's not there, maybe he's gone to pick up Little Jelly Bean. Assistant Kush, is there anything you need?"

Kush held the brown paper file in his hand and said something else to cover up, "Oh, nothing. It’s just a document that needs boss to personally review it. I'll bring it to his study."

Kush left after bringing the DNA report to the study. After that, Nancy went into Heaton's study, opened the brown paper file, and saw a DNA paternity test report.

[The result of the comparison between the DNA of Verian Mont and Cherie Fudd showed a similarity of 99 percent.]

Nancy's eyes twitched ferociously and looked at the woman's photo on the profile. The woman she bumped into the other day was really Little Jelly Bean's biological mother?

She had disappeared for three years. Why did she choose to come back now?

Verian Mont... Perhaps you want to take advantage of your identity as Little Jelly Bean's biological mother to marry Heaton?!

“Mom! Mom! Where are you?"

The voice of her son, Zayne Fudd, came from outside the door. She quickly put the report back and swiftly walked out of the study.

...

Verian made two dishes and a soup. They looked simple yet homely.

She glanced at the meal that was somewhat too plain and turned to look at the man and the kid who were sitting right in front of her.

She awkwardly laughed and said, "These are just simple food. Please put up with them."

Little Jelly Bean was very supportive. She grabbed the spoon with her little hand and replied, "Monty, this soup looks delicious."

Verian smiled at the little munchkin. "Let me serve you some."

During the meal, the atmosphere was extremely unpleasant. Little Jelly Bean was the only one who felt relaxed because she could not sense the awkwardness at all.

Heaton did not speak as he ate, and his movements were graceful, as if he was the son of a duke who received the best upbringing in the high society.

A sudden ring of a cell phone broke the silence at the table.

Heaton glanced at the caller ID and frowned slightly. Without saying a word, he put down the cutlery and walked toward the balcony which was furthest away from the living room to answer the call.

It was a call from Kush. "Boss, the result of the DNA report has come out. I see that you're not at home, so I left it on your study desk."

Heaton's eyes sank, and he assented to it nonchalantly. After hanging up the phone, he returned to the living room and asked Little Jelly Bean who sat gauchely at the table. "Jelly Bean, have you finished eating? If you've finished, let’s go home."

Little Jelly twisted her body as she frowned and said, "Dad, I still want to watch cartoons for a while in Monty's house. Can we go home later?"

Heaton pursed his thin lips. Seeing the little munchkin unwillingness to leave, his tone became sharper.

"There's a movie theater at home dedicated to you to watch cartoons. Can't you watch cartoons at home?"

Heaton’s usual tone was always cold. Even when he spoke to Little Jelly Bean, there were times when he could not control himself. After all, Heaton Fudd was a heartless man who was decisive and cruel when he was outside. No matter how kind his tone could sound, it could not compare to that of a mother. When Little Jelly Bean had just learned to speak, she was extremely noisy and talked non-stop. Sometimes, when Heaton was busy and annoyed by her he would subconsciously glare at her and she would burst into tears. However, Heaton was very fond of Little Jelly Bean thus he had no idea what to do next when she cried.

At this moment, Little Jelly Bean saw her father's face darkened. She immediately shut her mouth and her eyes turned watery. With a pout, she jumped off the chair and snorted angrily. "It's just about going home. Why are you so fierce? Hmph, when I'm home, I'm going to tell Grandpa that Dad was angry at me again!"

Heaton was in a bad mood. With a frown, he took his coat, turned around and walked toward the door, not bothering to hold the little kid’s hand who was throwing a tantrum.
