Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 170

Verian approached the black Maybach’s side. She raised her hand and knocked on the window heavily. As the windows gradually lowered, the man was sitting at the back seat and seemed to be waiting for her.

Verian stood outside the car and was unwilling to enter it. With a frown, she said, “President Fudd, it now happens to still be working hours. What do you want after calling me out here for?”

Heaton’s voice was calm but sounded quite impatient. “Get in.”

She stood at the same spot without moving an inch. The man then gave her a cold glare and said, “Are you more willing to let me get out there and carry you in here?”

That statement was obviously a threat.

Verian bit her lips and reluctantly pulled the handle before getting in.

As she had just entered the car and just before she was able to react, the man reached out with his left arm and immediately pulled her to him.

“Heaton Fudd...let go of me!”

She furiously stared at him but not only did he not release her, he lowered his head and inched closer to her while frowning heavily.

His body emanated a refreshing, manly scent with a faint hint of tobacco. The beauty of men endlessly emanated from Heaton’s body as a simple gesture, and his simple gaze was filled to the brim of mature masculinity.

Verian was unknowingly sinking deeper. She was afraid that she would sink to the very bottom of this deep swamp someday and no matter how much she cried and wailed, no one would be able to pull her out of it.

Both Heaton and Verian’s foreheads were touching each other and as he felt the warmth of her forehead, his tense frown loosened up. He let out a sigh and asked in a muted deep tone, “Your fever’s completely gone. Is there anywhere else where you feel uncomfortable at all?”

Verian’s heart twitched slightly as she looked at him in disbelief.

Was his purpose of coming all this way to Yash Group just to make sure if her fever was completely gone?

She instinctively looked toward Heaton as the gaze from her watery eyes met his. She coquettishly shifted her gaze to another side and spoke in a cold tone, “Sunny already has your child and the person you should be caring for is her, not me.”

It was then that Heaton focused his gaze from his dark pearly eyes onto her and pinched her chin with his long slender fingers, forcing her tiny face toward him. “Are you actually jealous or are you pretending to be?”

There was no emotion from his tone, and there were also no hints of anger from it. His gaze assessing her was cold and calm.

Verian’s heart skipped a beat as she nervously said, “You… What do you mean?”

That man’s dark silhouette collapsed onto her as his light breath landed on her tiny face. Emphasizing word for word, he asked, “What exactly did you and Yanni do on the night you were at his house?”

Heaton was not as generous to the point of pretending everything was normal after his own woman had sex with Yanni Quain.

Perhaps he would not mind as much if it were any other girlfriends in the past that had cheated on him with another man. The most it would end up was as a breakup and exiling the to other from his social circle. However, it seemed this woman happened to be Verian Mont, and he was unable to let go of her that easily.

Verian felt cold throughout her body from being stared down by him like that. However, all of her pent up frustration and humiliation in her heart came rushing out. Her eyes turned red after arguing with him for a few seconds. “What about you then? What did you do with that woman the night you were at the Blue Bay Mansion?”

The man squinted his dark pearly eyes as he gripped her chin harder with his long, slender fingers. “That’s your reason for going over to Yanni Quain’s house?”

“What right do you yourself have to mingle with another lady while I can’t spend the night over at another man’s house!”

Heaton’s eyebrow twitched slightly before his huge hands landed heavily on her shoulder!

“You dare!”
