Heaton carried her from the cold water and pinned her to the top of the sink!
Verian was completely terrified as she clenched her fists and pounded on his shoulders. “What are you planning to do! Heaton Fudd, let go of me!”
“Didn’t you wanna abort the child? I’m merely fulfilling your wishes!”
The man was filled to the brim with disdain and was absolutely terrifying. Verian shivered violently while her pale, white lips shivered, both hands instinctively protecting her tiny belly. “Heaton Fudd… No… No…”
However, the man had completely lost all sense of control. The man pinned his thin lips against her ear as he said, “Verian Mont, you wished to abort this child, right? I’ll give you what you want!”
Tears began rolling from the corner of her eyes…
Initially, she had already lost consciousness. However, the sharp and agonizing stinging pain from her belly jolted her awake.
She reached out to cuddle up her belly. An odd moist feeling could be felt from her thighs as she looked toward the direction with her shivering lashes and all she could see was blurry and bloody red fluids sliding out in between her thighs…
Heaton’s dark pupils suddenly constricted.
Verian grabbed his arm tightly with hers. She begged him while crying, “Heaton Fudd… I’m begging you…. Save the child… It hurts… I’m begging you…”
When Heaton carried the little lady up, it did not take long for Verian to pass out in his arms.
“Riana!”
…
Heaton sat on the long bench outside the emergency room. His handsome face was lowered and it was unsure what exactly he was thinking about.
Wilson rushed over from the quarantine zone and noticed Heaton seemed to be in shambles.
Wilson then approached and patted Heaton’s shoulder. He spoke in a deep tone, “Don’t worry, I’ve arranged for the best gynecologist to save both her and your child. Everything will be fine.”
Heaton gritted his teeth. “Old Jared, should I have let her go?”
Wilson already knew about Verian’s identity. He also knew the unbreakable ties Heaton had with Grayson Mont’s suicide back then. While pouting his lips, he asked, “Do you wish to listen to my honest opinion?”
Heaton replied with a simple, “Sure.”
“Perhaps Verian had been lying to you all the time she spent by your side. Even more so, she’s used you and Little Jelly Bean. Although there isn’t a direct tie between you and Grayson’s death all those years ago, the truth was that the Fudd Group’s debts had caused Grayson’s death. It’s only natural for Verian to hate and seek vengeance from you. The only thing is Heaton, I didn’t expect you’d actually allow a girl whose awful intentions you were well aware of to carry your child.”
Heaton raised his head slightly and leaned his head back against the wall. He said with a sigh, “After Sam’s death, I thought about never getting married in my lifetime. In order to have my father give up, I had Little Jelly Bean. However, I never expected that three years later, I would have met her and actually felt the rush to get married again.”
If it was not for Yanni and Verian’s plan back then, he might have already smoothly gotten the marriage certificate with Verian.
Even though he had already had his suspicions toward Verian then.
Wilson frowned. “I remembered telling you to stop bringing harm toward anyone else back then.”
“But what if Verian Mont happens to be an exception.”
“However, she aligned with Yanni and perhaps, she has always been lying to you from the start. So what do you plan to do now?”
Heaton’s eyes were as dark as ink. “It’s true she’s schemed against me, but I too have schemed against him. Hence, we’re even and I’ll never allow her to leave me.”
…
It was uncertain just how long Heaton had waited outside the emergency room. In these couple of hours, time seemed to be frozen. It was unnaturally slow.
He leaned against the wall and closed his eyes slightly as he recalled the memories he had on Regent Island. He had escaped from death and the sparkling glimmer in Verian’s eyes after she discovered he was still alive.
Such strong emotions, such delight could not be faked.
