Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 182

The sharp tip of the knife pierced through the man’s black shirt inch by inch until a ‘poof’ sound was heard and Verian Mont’s fingers went stiff!

She knew that the sound was the sound of the knife piercing flesh!

She forgot to struggle, but Heaton Fudd was still holding her hand and pierced the knife into his chest. His black eyes, however, were looking at her deeply. “Riana, if you really want me to pay with my life, you need to do it with more strength.”

Verian Mont’s face went pale and she stared at him with red eyes as tears trembled in the socket of her eyes. Her fingers also followed suit and started to tremble.

“Heaton Fudd, I have been setting you up, including leading you to Regent Island...”

Tears dropped pit-pattering from her eye sockets and onto the back of Heaton Fudd’s hand which she was holding.

The man frowned, looked at her with his burning black eyes and asked in a hoarse voice, “So, you really want me to die?”

“I... Yes.”

However, it was just that one time. That time, she thought that she was not in love with him and even if she liked him, it was just the beginning. She thought that if Heaton Fudd died in that accident, she would be happy. However, that night, when she knew that he really boarded the boat and there was an accident at sea, she was on the beach. Apart from feeling regretful and guilty, she was heartbroken...

When he stood fully under the moonlight and looked at her with a light smile, she rushed over at that moment and wanted to give up avenging her father.

Heaton Fudd slightly lowered his head and his forehead lightly touched hers. One of his hands held her dainty hand that was holding the knife and his other hand touched the back of her head. His voice was close to pampering. “Riana, if this cut can make you let go of your hatred, you just need to pierce it a little deeper.”

Verian Mont’s body was trembling like there was no tomorrow. When Heaton Fudd held her hand and drove it into his chest another inch, Verian Mont used all her strength to pull out the knife. “No!”

The knife slashed through Heaton Fudd’s palm and fell to the floor with a clank. Blood immediately gushed over their hands. The chest area of Heaton Fudd’s black shirt immediately became heavier from being stained by the blood. The blood dripped onto the ward’s white tiled floor.

Verian Mont was so frightened that she was stunned. Her dainty hands, that were covered in blood, pressed onto Heaton Fudd’s chest wound. “Heaton Fudd, how are you? You… Hmm…”

The man’s big hands held her tiny waist and in one swift move, he held her tight in his arms, lowered his head and kissed her pale lips.

Verian Mont’s slightly salty tears slid into their mouths. Heaton Fudd gently kissed the tears on her delicate face. His tone however, was domineering. He leaned against her forehead, opened his mouth and spoke word by word. “Verian Mont, if you don’t have the heart to do it tonight, then you should just stay by my side obediently. I won’t allow you to leave me-”

Verian Mont looked at him, tears rolling down and she said while sobbing, “But I almost made you die at sea. I’ve been lying to you and setting you up. You really don’t hate me?”

“Hate, but I am angrier.” The man paused and said with a frown, “I am angry at you for willing to work together with Yanni Quain instead of telling me the truth. I am even angrier at myself for not making you fall helplessly in love with me-”

Verian Mont’s brain was in a mess and she cried till she had spasms. “Heaton Fudd, why are you so good to me…”

How could she choose?

She could not face Heaton Fudd because she could not forget her father’s death, but she had… really fallen in love with him.

Blood wetted the palm of her hand. Her eyes trembled violently and she quickly said, “I’ll go get a doctor!”

Heaton Fudd stopped her with one move. “I can go over and get it wrapped up by a doctor. You shouldn’t go. It will raise suspicion.”

Verian Mont swallowed her saliva. It was at this moment and why was he still considering these?

However, her hands and patient gown were covered in blood. Together with her flustered emotions, it would seem like she had just murdered someone and it might really attract the attention of police.

“But your wound…”

“It’s fine, the wound shouldn’t be very deep.”

Heaton Fudd pushed her back onto the sick bed and told her, “Stay here obediently and don’t go out. Wait for me to come back.”

Verian Mont watched Heaton Fudd’s figure leaving and her line of sight blurred.

Why was her father’s death related to the Fudd Group and related to Heaton Fudd? How good would it be if all of this was just a misunderstanding?
