In the Yames’ mansion.
After Yuna noticed Xavier’s return, whilst painting her nails with colorful nail polish, she asked with a teasing gaze, “Are you done with divorcing Verian?”
Xavier said while rubbing his temple, “Nope.”
Yuna frowned, got up and asked, “She must’ve regretted it now, right?”
“No, my body suddenly didn’t feel right when it was getting done.”
“Didn’t feel right? Are you trying to say that Heaton is about to come out?”
Xavier’s gaze dimmed as he said, “The information gathered by your men previously mentioned that Heaton felt guilty for Sam and Heaton’s schizophrenia was caused by her as well. In order to prevent any future hiccups, I need to pay Sam a visit.”
Verian was Heaton’s beloved and if anything was to happen to her again to trigger Heaton’s consciousness, Heaton might actually return. If that happened, it would be impossible for him to ever return again.
“Oh right, I forgot to tell you something. I had someone look into Verian and found out that she visited the Blue Precture Villa and met up with Sam.”
Yuna handed Xavier a picture.
…
When Sam received a phone call from Xavier, Yanni had just gone to work.
“Hello, who is this?”
“How are you doing, Miss Joyce?”
Sam was stunned the moment she heard that voice. Heaton’s voice was very easy to remember and it was the most charmingly deep manly voice.
“Heaton?”
The man chuckled and said, “I’m not Heaton, I’m Xavier.”
Sam frowned. Could this be the ailment Verian described?
Heaton had become a different person?
“What do you want?”
“Verian came looking for you in hopes of getting your help to aid Heaton get rid of his ailment, right?”
“Yeah, I made a condition.”
A teasing gaze flashed across Xavier’s eyes. He chuckled and slowly said, “Let me guess… you wouldn’t be asking her to divorce Heaton now, would you?”
Hence, that was why Verian would suddenly suggest their divorce last night. This was all done to get Sam’s help in treating Heaton?
Hmph, it seemed Verian’s love for Heaton was pretty deep.
“So what if it’s true, I didn’t force her.”
“Miss Joyce, I think you misunderstood my purpose. I believe we both don’t want Heaton to ever appear again.”
Lucy was stunned. She replied, “What do you mean?”
“I mean, we’ll have Heaton thoroughly disappear.”
…
Verian went to Yames’ mansion however, she was stopped by the Yames’ family bodyguards.
“Let me in! I want to meet Xavier!”
“We can’t let you in without Madam’s orders! Best that you give up now!”
“Xavier, you lying sack of sh*t! Come out here and meet me!”
Verian yelled plenty of vile and mean things at the entrance. Yuna who was in the mansion raised her brows and looked at Xavier, “Are you really not going to meet her? No matter what, she’s still your… wife?”
Xavier strode to the open bar in the living room, poured himself half a glass of whiskey and chugged his glass dry.
