Verian Mont was panting as she ran out of the children’s ward.

The image of Heaton Fudd kissing Nancy Xander flashed across her eyes.

She flung her head around and before she snapped out of it, Bodd Yellen called out to her, “Verian Mont, this way. I thought you passed out in the washroom. I was just about to go look for you.”

When Bodd Yellen approached her, he pulled her toward the direction of the hospital’s exit while asking, “Oh right, until when your play with my uncle will end?”

Verian Mont was stunned. She said, “That… well, I’m not too sure.”

Bodd Yellen nodded as he made a phone call to his mother to bring his girlfriend home. They planned to have lunch together so it should be fine for him to send Verian Mont home, right?

Besides, the whole thing with his uncle was all fake and was nothing more than a misunderstanding. He decided he would call his uncle tonight and have a talk with him. He would tell his uncle that he liked Verian Mont and have his uncle return the mansion to her to put an end to this whole ridiculous barter.

Verian Mont’s mind was in a complete mess after she got in the car. Her mind was constantly being flooded with the scene of Nancy Xander kissing Heaton Fudd.

The both of them were in love and since she was just pretending with Heaton Fudd, whatever he decided to do, had nothing to do with her right?

A wave of frustration emerged.

When she looked up to gaze out of the window, she was stunned. This was not the route back to the Fudd’s mansion.

“Bodd Yellen, where are you taking me?”

“My house. My mother wants to treat you to lunch today.”

Verian Mont was completely baffled by that. She said, “You mom wants to meet me? Why?”

Bodd Yellen looked at her defeated and said, “My mother had always seen your pictures and thought you looked great. She had always wanted to see you.”

As the Porsche already entered the Bodd’s family courtyard, Verian Mont was afraid something would slip out. Therefore, the moment she got out of the car, she turned around, fully intending to escape. She said, “Bodd Yellen, I don’t think I’ll be eating at your house today.”

Bodd Yellen grabbed her hands and walked her toward the direction of his house. He said, “You’re already here, what are you afraid of? My mom is pretty sociable. Don’t worry.”

Thus, Verian Mont was ‘forcefully’ dragged into the Bodd’s family home. He said, “Mom, I’m home.”

Bodd Yellen’s mother, Maples Fudd walked downstairs in an elegant robe. The instant she noticed the girl standing next to Bodd Yellen, she cracked a huge smile. She said, “Bodd Yellen, is this… your girlfriend?”

“Aunty, I…”

Bodd Yellen interjected and introduced her with a smile, “Mom, this was the girl I told you about previously. We met when we’re studying in Paris, Verian Mont.”

Maples Fudd was beaming as she glanced at Bodd Yellen. She said while warmly tugging onto Verian Mont, “You’re that Verian Mont. After Bodd Yellen returned, he would often tell me about you, saying that you’re excellent at taking care of people. It’s thanks to you for taking care of him while he was in Paris, you know.”

Verian Mont blushed slightly. She was bashful from all the praises. She said, “Aunty, I didn’t. I should be thanking Bodd Yellen for taking care of me in Paris. I didn't do much to help.”

Maples Budd noticed how well this pair looked together. She hastily said, “Today is wonderful. Call your sister to tell her to come back for a meal.”

While waiting for Bodd Yellen to make that phone call, Maples Budd dragged Verian Mont and said compassionately, “Verian Mont, stay for lunch in my house today.”

Since she was here, she felt bad for rejecting her. All she could do was nod and say, “Alright.”

Maples Fudd seemed to be in an excellent mood. She told Bodd Yellen, “Just entertain Verian Mont for a bit. I’ll tell Aunt Snow to prepare lunch.”

Thus, Verian Mont was dragged upstairs by Bodd Yellen. Maples Fudd felt glad as stared at her naive child who actually had a female crush. She walked to the side of the stairway and called for Heavenly Harpy Leaf. After she hung up the phone, and since it would be such a rare occasion for everyone to be here, she decided to invite Heaton Fudd. Her brother’s judgement was often accurate, thus it would be great to boost Bodd Yellen’s morale.

After Heaton Fudd was done with Little Jelly Bean’s infusion, he went back to Verian Mont’s room only to find out that she had already been discharged.
