Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 344

A luxurious, private hospital in Florence.

Verian was sleeping soundly and had no awareness of her surroundings.

"How soon can we get the results for the DNA test?"

"Before noon tomorrow. Second Young Master Del, don't worry. I will notify you immediately after the results are out."

On their way home, Yale glanced at the lady through the rearview mirror. It appeared that she had leaned her head on Yandel's shoulder. He proceeded to ridicule her. "Second Young Master, this young lady is so calm and daring. She got so drunk, and she did not even respond when two strangers carried her to the car. She's fortunate that we're not bad people. Her drunken actions also resemble Ms. Xylean."

Yandel gazed at the girl who slept so soundly as if she did not worry about anything in the world. However, his eyes darkened as he asked, "Did you manage to find any information about Leannie's whereabouts?"

"It seems like Ms. Xylean is also in Florence. I've sent out a search party for her. Don't worry, Second Young Master. You will probably see her by tomorrow night."

Yandel's lips quirked in joy, and traces of warmth and ease flashed across his eyes.

The young lady in his arms snuggled into him and muttered, "I'm cold… Heaton… hug me…"

Yale smirked. Other than Ms. Xylean, no one else would dare to act so coquettishly with his second young master.

That lady was probably the Soan Family's daughter!

Yandel draped a blanket around Verian. "Are you still cold?"

"Ugh… much better… Heaton… you're so nice and warm…" Verian smiled so foolishly.

She had gotten so drunk that all she could think and see was Heaton.

She should not even be thinking about that man at that moment.

"Who's Heaton?"

With her eyes closed, Verian smiled idiotically. It was a rather sweet smile. "He's my husband…! Oh, no… he's my ex-husband… I… I... just got divorced recently."

"Since you can't forget him, why do you want to divorce him?"

Verian pouted as she recalled the sad memories; she even felt a bit wronged. "He's the one who wanted the divorce… I don't want it either… but why did he ditch me? He promised to protect me... always… why did he let me go?"

Yandel snickered. "Looks like we both met people who could not keep their promises."

Yandel gazed at the unconscious girl again. He had a hunch that she was his biological younger sister.

"It's okay. If you're really from the Soan Family, I will kidnap this Heaton, bring him to you and let you do whatever you wish to him."

At that moment, Verian had already passed out.

Yandel moved his gaze toward the snowy winter night scene out the window. Suddenly, he asked in a raspy voice, "How long has it been since Leannie left me?"

Yale was uncertain if that question was directed at him.

He hesitated before he said, "About a year, I think."

"It has been 378 days."

Yale sighed. Why would Ms. Xylean leave such a loyal and charmed person like his second young master?

"Second Young Master, after we found Ms. Xylean, you should be more decisive and aggressive with her. Otherwise, how would she know of your power? She might even run away again. Sometimes we need to instill some fright into women."

Yandel had always been a stern and strict person. However, he would turn into a fool if it was about Xylean Yellen...

Yandel rubbed his forehead and sighed. "I can't bring myself to be mad at her."

Even though she had run away multiple times for the past few years, and it had gotten a lot worse over the years, Yandel was still reluctant to take any action against her.

Yale was concerned, so he said, "Second Young Master, in all honesty, you have spoiled Ms. Xylean rotten. Other people would have reprimanded and punished her if they were ever in such a situation. Why is Ms. Xylean still unsatisfied? She runs away every chance she gets. Did she not know that she would have a more comfortable life by your side? If I were to be blunt, I would say that Ms. Xylean is a little immature…"

"Shut up." Yandel's gaze turned cold, and his eyes looked frightening.
