Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 396

Even though she slept for a really long time, Verian's eyelids still felt heavy. When she woke up, all she could hear was the sound of running water from the washroom.

She flipped the blanket and felt the still-slightly-warm spot where Heaton had slept the previous night. She smiled.

Those few days had felt like a dream. She had gone after him, all the way from North City to Dublin.

It would be impossible for her past timid self to do anything that insane.

When Heaton got out of the washroom, his short wet hair was not its usual spiky style. It did not seem as menacing as it usually looked; he even looked like a little puppy.

Verian inched closer to him, hugged his neck, and kissed his handsome face.

"A morning kiss?"

She blushed. "Forget it then."

"That's a little too late now."

As he spoke, Heaton leaned forward to kiss her lips before Verian pushed him away. "No, I haven't brushed my teeth yet!"

"Madam Fudd, I don't mind."

That kiss felt long and passionately warm.

Verian breathed heavily as she blushed. She got out of bed and said, "I'll freshen up first!"

Heaton smiled as he knew that Verian was a little embarrassed. He picked up a towel to dry his short hair.

Heaton was already changed into his clothes when Verian was done with freshening up.

She mumbled, "Do you really have to go to work this early?"

He had not even had breakfast yet…

Heaton smiled when he noticed the disappointment in Verian's voice. "Who told you that I was going to work?"

Why would he get dressed then?

"I won't be meeting business partners today. Hurry up and get changed. Let's head out. You'll have me for the entire day today."

Verian's eyes lit up. "Really?"

"Yeah."

"I'll get changed in the washroom then!"

Fortunately for her, she had packed a few clothes in her luggage, and they were all appropriate for any outdoor trip.

There was a flash in Heaton's gaze as she walked into the washroom to get changed.

He grabbed her hand and said, "I can't even see a thing; just get changed here."

Besides, had he not seen every inch of her body?

Verian was stunned for a moment, but the man had a point. There was no reason for her to get changed in the washroom when he could not even see a thing.

However, his deep gaze would make her feel…flustered.

Verian blushed before agreeing with him, and she swiftly got changed.

In the few short minutes, Heaton repeatedly blinked. White shapes of light seemed to have manifested in front of his eyes. There was even a white and blurry yet slender-looking silhouette in front of him.

Even though he had been busy with work, he never stopped treating his eyes. He continued to take the medications too.

He had been blind for quite some time.

However, that was the first time he could see the light.

It did not take Verian long to finish changing. "Let's go!"

Heaton snapped out of his daze and replied, "Let's grab some breakfast first."

"Alright. I heard that the Irish breakfast is extremely delicious. Let's try some."

Verian took Heaton's arm as they got out of the room.

They sat across each other when they arrived at the restaurant.

Heaton asked, "What's on the plate?"

"Sausages, bacon, black and white pudding, potatoes, eggs, raisin bread... What do you want to eat?"

"The bread then."

Verian picked up a slice of raisin bread and brought it to Heaton's lips.
