Heaton carried Verian to the bed. He lowered his head to kiss her lips, which caused Verian to be confused.
"It's not important what the Internet says. The most important thing is that we have a marriage certificate for a hundred years."
Even though Verian was confused, she still trusted Heaton. She said, "Really? But the government stated that it was a rumor."
"Really. I'd be a b*tch if I lied to you."
"Alright, then."
After they had taken their shower, they laid on the bed and went to sleep.
Verian mumbled in Heaton's arms. "Honey, they said they're envious of us."
"They?" Heaton raised his brows slightly.
"Yeah, the Internet users. They managed to guess that Little Jelly Bean is our daughter."
Heaton chuckled as he rubbed her hair gently. He said, "Your WeChat username is way too obvious. Anyone could've guessed it."
"The Internet user also wanted us to flaunt our love online even more. They wanted to see it."
"Okay then, Madam Fudd. We shall provide them with what they requested whenever we're free."
The man's voice sounded extraordinarily gentle and warm as Verian stared at his sweet smile. She beamed as she spoke in a determined tone, "Okay."
"They even suggested that we take part in some TV show for married couples."
Heaton frowned and said, "I don't like to show off my private life to an audience."
"Yeah, I know that you don't like it, but I was just letting you know."
"Sleep now. We still have to rush for an early flight back to North City tomorrow morning."
"Goodnight, honey."
…
After more than ten hours on the plane, Verian was utterly exhausted when they arrived at North City. She laid in Heaton's arms and slept for a really long time. She only woke up when they had arrived home.
Verian bought some chocolates and toys at the airport for Little Jelly Bean and Zaynie. She gave them to the children.
"Do you like them?"
Little Jelly Bean hugged Verian with both arms as she replied in her childish voice, "I love everything that Monty gives me!"
Verian smiled warmly before she kissed the little rascal's face.
When Zaynie accepted the chocolates and the Transformers toy, he did not forget to thank Verian. "Thank you, Aunty."
"Don't mention it." Verian patted Zaynie's head.
Nancy got out of her room with a bitter look on her face, "Come over here, Zaynie."
Zaynie walked toward her with his gifts. However, Nancy decided to confiscate all the gifts that Verian had given Zaynie. She said, "Too much chocolate is bad for you, and playing with too many toys will rot your brain."
Zaynie bit his lips and seemed very sad, but he remained silent.
Verian could not bear to see the sadness on his face, so she said, "Sister-in-law, the child is still young, and there's no problem with playing with toys every once in a while. Chocolates are fine too since he doesn't eat it every day anyway."
Nancy snapped back at her. "I know how to care for my son. There's no need for your pretentious gestures."
Little Jelly Bean had long since opened the box of chocolates. She chose two pieces and immediately shoved it into her mouth. Her teeth were stained black by the chocolates. She looked exceptionally adorable when she smiled.
Little Jelly Bean frowned at nancy. "Aunty, the chocolates that Monty bought are delicious. Please let Big Brother try one!"
Little Jelly Bean rushed to his cousin with a piece of chocolate in hand and handed it to Zaynie. She winked at him. The boy gulped as he stared at the piece of chocolate and felt extremely tempted to eat one.
However, Nancy grabbed Zaynie's tiny hands and lectured him. "You are the Fudd family’s eldest son. How could you be so weak?"
Little Jelly Bean raised her head and asked, "Why can't the eldest son have chocolates? What does the eldest son mean?"
Nancy was stunned by that question.
Verian nearly laughed out loud.
Little Jelly Bean frowned and naively said, "Hurry up and eat Big Brother. The chocolate's about to melt, and when it melts, it won't taste as good anymore!"
Little Jelly Bean was utterly unfazed by Nancy, and she persisted by raising her small arms in the air.
Zaynie reached out hesitantly, and before he could grab it, Nancy yelled at him, "Zayne Fudd!"
