Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 433

Wilson was in the bathroom taking a cold shower. Wearing the hotel's disposable slippers while carrying her bag, Serene quietly left the hotel.

When she was exiting the hotel, she let out a long breath before slumping into a bench at a garden near the hotel, looking as if she had lost her soul.

Recalling what Wilson told her earlier, she did not know what to believe.

One thing she knew for sure was that if Wilson kept seeing her, she would no longer be able to hold herself back. She would give in to him...

She had been sticking to her morals for over 20 years, yet it seemed to all mean nothing after she met Wilson.

Her phone rang once again. It was her mother.

Serene's mother scolded her over the phone for quite some time but she did not talk back at all. It was only until after Serene’s mother grew tired of lecturing her that she dejectedly told her mother she would go home right away.

She was wearing a pair of disposable slippers so she could not really ride a crowded bus. Because of this, she hailed a cab instead. As the cab exited the hotel, Wilson rushed out to look for her at the exact same moment the cab passed him by.

Serene hugged her bag close to her. Crestfallen, she thought to herself, 'Just let it be.'

She told herself to forget about Wilson. The man had never belonged to her since the beginning.

She was very happy during their time together. It felt like a dream yet so real at the same time. They were always from two different worlds, so it was natural that they would be incompatible.

...

At the Fudd family mansion in North City.

Verian weighed herself on the weighing scale after dinner.

Her weight had soared up to 50 kilograms.

She would weigh herself every other day recently and noticed that she would gain one or two pounds every time she checked the scale.

Before she was pregnant, her weight remained at about 92 pounds all year round. Even if there were any fluctuations, it would go up to about 94 pounds the most. However, her weight was approaching three figures now. At this rate, she would only continue to gain weight.

Heaton was accompanying Little Jelly Bean who was doing her homework. As he turned around, the lady who was beside him earlier had disappeared.

“Daddy, I’m craving some fruits. Can I continue my homework after I eat some fruits?” Little Jelly Bean blinked up at him with her beady eyes.

Heaton rubbed her head and said, “You just finished your dinner so why are you looking for fruits now? You have to stay focused when you do your homework. Stop thinking about food.”

Little Jelly Bean grunted and pouted her lips. Grabbing the pencil with her tiny hands, she continued doing her homework as she muttered, “Monty is allowed to have fruits after dinner. You always play favorites.”

“Monty is pregnant.”

“Hmphh.”

“Keep up with your homework. I’ll come check on you later.”

Little Jelly Bean made a face at him. “Alright, I get it!”

Heaton exited Little Jelly Bean’s study room and he saw Verian standing on the weighing scale. Pressing her head against the wall, she seemed distressed. Her gaze was fixed on the numbers on the scale.

Heaton walked toward her. He walked up behind her but she did not seem to notice him at all until Heaton spoke up, “What’s your weight now?”

Shocked, Verian stepped off and flipped over the scale. She would have fell if Heaton was not there to hold her.

Heaton frowned slightly. “You seem on edge. Did you do anything wrong?”

Verian’s face heated up. She turned around and glared at him before snapping, “Why did you suddenly appear behind me? You frightened me to death!”

“How did I frighten you?”

Verian accused him, “You peeped at my weight!”

He had seen everything and yet, she was worried about him knowing her weight?

“I hug you every day. Do you not think I’d be aware of how much you weigh?”

Verian’s face flushed red as she frowned and whined, “It’s all your fault. I wouldn’t be so fat right now if it wasn’t for you.”

“Why are you blaming me for becoming fat?”

Jinn was absolutely right. Women were strange creatures. Even something trivial could trigger their emotions when they were unhappy.

“It’s your fault for getting me pregnant…”

Heaton was speechless.

Heaton let out a faint sigh. He reached out and carried her onto the weighing scale, taking a glance at her weight. It was just 50 kilograms.

Even a piglet would weigh more than her so what was there to worry about?

“You can gain 10 more pounds.”

Verian asked in an exaggerated tone, “10 pounds? Are you sure?”
