When it was almost four o'clock in the afternoon, Verian and Helen went to the kindergarten to pick up their children.
However, after waiting for a long time, the children did not come out.
Verian and Helen decided to enter the kindergarten and they found their children stubbornly standing against the wall by their classroom door. Their little faces were blushed by the sun.
Verian felt distressed and hurriedly walked over. She asked, "Jelly Bean, Tyler, why are you two... why are you two standing here?"
There was sweat all over their foreheads, and their hair was wet and sticky. Verian quickly took out some tissues to wipe their faces.
Anxiously, Helen also asked, "What exactly happened?"
Pouting her mouth, Little Jelly Bean said, "Monty, Aunt Helen, we didn't do anything wrong. The teacher and Charles were at fault."
As she finished speaking, the teacher came out of the office. When she saw them, she politely asked, "Are you the moms of Cherie and Tyler?"
"Yes, we are."
"Let me explain what happened. Cherie and Tyler beat a little boy in class today. Once they apologize to the little boy, this matter will be settled."
Little Jelly Bean quickly went over to Verian's side. Holding Verian's waist in her little hands, she said, "Monty, it was Charles who kept pulling my clothes. I told him not to pull them, but he still carried on, so I pushed him."
Touching the child's little head, Verian frowned slightly and said, "Teacher, I think there is a misunderstanding. Let's talk to that boy and figure out the issue first."
Helen readily agreed with Verian. "Teacher, I know my son. Although he's very naughty, he won't hit someone without a reason. I think we should talk about the matter first. We can't simply fault the children. If it's really my child's fault, then it also won't be too late to apologize."
In the classroom, an arrogant and sharp female voice could be heard, "How dare you say this? Can't you see how bad my child is beaten up? Psst, there are bruises all over his little face, and the corners of his mouth are bleeding!"
It was Charles' mother who was speaking as she walked Charles out of the classroom and approached them aggressively. She looked as if she was leading a punitive expedition.
The female teacher quickly comforted Charles' mother, "Mrs. White, don't be angry. We can discuss it."
"Don't be angry? My child has been beaten up so badly. As his mother, how can I not be angry? What if they beat up my child until he becomes disabled?"
Helen saw that Charles was indeed bruised on the face. Although it was not as exaggerated as his mother made out to be, she still felt a little sorry. "On behalf of my child, I apologise to you and your child for this matter."
"Saying sorry? Is saying sorry useful? My child's face is messed up like this. Who is responsible for this?" Thinking that justice was on her side, Mrs. White was unforgiving. It seemed like she wanted to make a big fuss about it.
Pursing her lips, Verian said, "Mrs. White, I think this is what happened. My daughter said that your son pulled on her clothes first. My daughter stopped your son, but he refused to listen. That’s why my daughter pushed your son and they got into a fight. Tyler is my daughter's good friend, so he stepped in."
"Good! That means you two work together to bully me and my son, isn’t that right?"
"I didn't mean that. I meant that our children are indeed at fault, but your child is also at fault."
Mrs. White immediately exploded like a bomb. She screamed in a high pitch, "Why is my son wrong? He only pulled your daughter's clothes a few times, so why did your daughter have to hit him? Is your daughter made of gold and nobody can touch her?"
