Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 469

Before Carter could explain, his WeChat rang again. It was another message from Little Siren.

[Brother Gale, are you there? It's raining on my side. Can you pick me up?]

Carter was speechless. "..."

Helen looked out of the window and saw a clear sunny day. "It's raining? Ask her which district is raining now?"

Carter passed his cell phone over to Helen. He got up and hugged his wife's soft waist. Lowering his head, he smiled. "Wifey, do you want to reply to her yourself?"

Helen pouted her little face, looking very unhappy. "Carter Gale!"

"Wifey, I'm here."

Helen glared at him. "Who the hell is she?!"

Feeling funny, Carter said, "Wifey, I really don't know her. Maybe she's a female colleague, but I really don't remember her."

Half-convinced, she stared at him. "Really? Are there a lot of beautiful little girls in your company who are after you?"

Carter saw her jealous look, and uncontrollably, his mood became very good. "True. There are a lot of beautiful girls pursuing me."

"Carter Gale!!" Helen was so angry that she wanted to cry.

Carter hurriedly comforted her by saying, "But, I don't even remember what they look like."

Helen instantly grabbed his cell phone and replied to Little Siren, [I can't eat with you this evening. I'm going home to cook for my wife.]

Carter saw what she replied, and his thin lips curled up. "Wifey, if you'd like me to cook for you, then I'll cook for you tomorrow?"

"Is what you cook even edible?"

Carter lowered his head to kiss her forehead. "Why would the food I cook be inedible? Tomorrow I'll show you my cooking skills."

Helen curved her lips. Her mood became much better. At this moment, there was another message from Little Siren.

[Brother Gale, I feel that your wife is going to be spoiled by you. I feel so sorry for you. You work during the day, and you have to cook for your wife in the evening.]

As soon as Helen saw this message, she was so furious and put the cell phone back into Carter's hands. "I'll go watch T.V.! Talk to Little Siren yourself!"

Carter was blank as he saw the little woman rushing off into the living room. He looked down at the message on his cell phone. While holding the phone, he moved his long legs to chase her into the living room.

Their son was in his room, so the living room light had been turned off thus the lighting quality was really poor. That little woman sat cross-legged on the sofa and stared at the T.V. in front of her.

Carter walked over and sat next to her. He picked up a packet of potato chips from the coffee table and asked, "Do you want to eat?"

Helen pushed away his hand and said, "No, I don't want to eat."

Carter used a fork to take a piece of fruit. "Then, have a piece of fruit?"

"No, I don't want to."

She was still angry.

Carter picked up his cell phone. Sitting next to her, he replied to Little Siren's message.

Little Siren sent another message again. [Brother Gale, is your wife very lazy? If it's me, I'll certainly cook dinner and wait for you to come home.]

Carter hated this kind of girl who enjoyed gossiping the most. He replied, [She's my wife, so I'll spoil her. This is none of your business.]

His reply was quite merciless and cold.

Little Siren replied, [I feel sorry for you, Brother Gale. You're so awesome. You're handsome and capable at work. You should marry a wife who will look after you with great care.]

[I married my wife not to make her cook and do laundry for me. I married my wife to be with her until we're old. What's wrong with cooking for her?] Carter's answer seemed very natural.

Little Siren, who was on the other side, felt more aggrieved. [Brother Gale, it'll be great if I met you earlier. I envy your wife very much.]

Carter had little patience. He instantly replied, [There's nothing you should be envious about. Even if we met earlier, nothing would have happened between us.]

Little Siren sent a question mark.

Carter replied, [You're not my type.]

"..."

Helen sat next to him to watch T.V., but she actually had no mood for it. She had been watching Carter with the corner of her eyes.

This damn man. He said that he did not know Little Siren. However, he was so focused on chatting with her. They were on intimate terms with each other! He did not even raise his head for a while.

Helen suddenly called out to him, "Carter!"

Carter finally raised his head. His eyes locked onto hers deeply. "Wifey, what's wrong?"

Helen took away the cell phone in his hands. "No more talking to Little Siren!"
