Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 650

Lucy was being held against her will.

Or in a more stricter sense, she was being confined by Yanni.

Dinner was being laid out downstairs.

While Aunt Yen was serving the food, she was focused on the tightly shut door upstairs. She snuck a glance at Yanni who looked inhumanly bitter.

“Sir, Miss Joyce had not eaten anything for an entire day now. Do you want me to bring some food up for her?”

Yanni seemed hurt when he thought about her starving. However, his voice still sounded cold. His expression relaxed a little as he replied with a simple, “Sure.” He allowed Aunt Yen to bring food upstairs.

When Aunt Yen opened the door with some food, she noticed Lucy was sitting alone by the bed. She seemed calm.

“Miss Joyce, you haven’t had any food today. You should really at least eat a little.”

“Aunt Yen, where’s Yanni? I want to see him.”

Aunt Yen seemed helpless as she said, “Miss Joyce, if you meet the master now, you will only argue with him. Besides, it will be impossible for the master to let you go. You’ve disappeared for half a year but you’re the only person present in your master's heart. He would call out to your name even when he’s drunk. You know Miss Yellen, right? She would visit the master quite often but you’re the only person in his heart and he rejected any other women who approached him.”

Lucy squeezed her fingers as her fingernails dug into her palms.

The person he called out to whenever he was drunk was not her.

Lucy had never expected that there would come a day she would get jealous of her long dead sister. She was disgusted with herself and hated herself even more. She swore to get vengeance for her own sister. However, instead of doing that, she had fallen in love with the man her sister loved.

Her heart wrenched in pain while sadness boiled over her.

“Miss Joyce, why can’t you understand our master’s intentions? Our master treats you so well and even I, an outsider, was touched by his gestures. Thus, how could you act so heartlessly, Miss Joyce?”

Heartless…

She wished to be heartless too, she too wished to never develop feelings for Yanni. However, when she could feel how amazingly well this man treated her, all she could do was give up on her revenge plot and chose to leave.

She already started a new life in the half year she left him and she thought she would be able to completely forget about him but she soon realized whenever she felt lonely at night, her emotions came rushing into her heart as she missed him dearly. She could do nothing to stop it.

Lucy pouted her lips and said, “You can leave now, Aunt Yen. I want to be alone for a bit.”

“What about the food…”

“I’ll eat when I’m hungry.”

Upon realizing she could not convince her, Aunt Yen shook her head and left the room.

Yanni who was sitting by the dining table downstairs also had no appetite to eat. After only taking a few bites, Yanni placed his chopsticks down with a bitter look on his face.

“Has she eaten yet?”

Aunt Yen stuttered, “Miss Joyce said… she will eat when she’s hungry.”

That meant she had not eaten yet.

Hmph, was she trying to start a hunger strike toward him? Did she assume he would let her go by doing that?

Yanni stood up and strode upstairs with a cold look on his face.

Lucy was sitting on the carpet beside the bed while hugging her arms and seemed to be thinking about something. However, the door was suddenly opened.

A tall manly silhouette was approaching her in a very predatory manner. His shadow completely engulfed her.
