Not long after Ruby was done with breakfast, her phone rang.
The caller I.D. showed that it was Wilson.
Wilson had a death wish for requesting a video call with her right now.
The man actually came to her without her needing to hunt him down.
Ruby sat on the carpet by the couch before picking up the call.
The instant the video call was connected, Serene and Wilson could be seen through the other end of the call.
Serene was beaming cheerfully as she greeted Ruby while waving her hands. She said, “Hey, Ruby. How are things going for you recently?”
Ruby rolled her eyes at her as she spoke in a cold tone, “Oh, it’s all thanks to you and your husband’s blessing that I’m in hell now. Just wait till I leave Blaine and R Country, I will hunt you guys down back at North City.”
Wilson laughed while hugging Serene as he said, “I’m doing this for your sake, Ruby. You’d be the safest staying by Blaine’s side. Besides… you’d understand why I did that soon.”
“Understand why you did that? All I know is that you’ve sold me out just to spend your days with Serene happily and freely!”
Wilson rubbed his nose and pleaded his innocence as he said, “Oh Ruby, am I really a friend that will value my lust over my actual friends now?”
“You are! You actually are! Wilson, I regret getting that herb for Serene with you and Blaine! Serene’s life has nothing to do with me, alright!”
Serene was squeezing her little hands as she giggled at her savior through the video feed as she buttered up to Ruby, “Thank you for saving my life, Lady Ruby. I will forever be in your debt!”
Ruby was speechless.
Wilson then reminded Ruby, “Ruby, value your time with Director Glaceau. Who knows, maybe you’d even fall in love with him.”
Ruby exclaimed, “... Please just die.”
The instant the video call ended, Ruby threw her phone away.
However, her phone hit a particular director.
Wilson waved her phone around while standing at the door. He said, “Are you trying to murder your husband?”
Ruby was speechless.
Ruby rubbed her neck in extreme frustration.
It was only after Blaine entered the house and placed her phone on the table did she snap out of her trance.
“Who’s my husband? Not you obviously!”
Her reaction made Blaine happy.
Blaine smiled as he walked upstairs before leaving her with a statement, “Don’t simply throw your phone around, Madam Glaceau, you might actually hit someone. It’ll be bad when that happens.”
‘God dammit!’
“Who’s Madam Glaceau!”
“Whoever that’s asking.”
