Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 770

Blade frowned and stared at Ruby coldly. “What? Do you think you’re more important than his future and the rest of his life?”

Blade scorned and mocked her.

Ruby was not annoyed. Instead, she stared at Blade calmly and said with a half smile on his face, “Leader, why are you looking down on me? What if I’m really the rest of your son’s life?”

“You! How dare a kid like you say something like that?”

Ruby pursed her lips and smirked. It has been quite some time she last felt so elated.

She kept reminding herself that the person in front of her was Blaine’s biological father. He might become her family in the future.

She endured his cynical manner not because she dared not go against Blade but she chose to tolerate him because he was Blaine’s father.

If other people treated her that way, she would have wiped out the luxurious flowers in the backyard.

“Leader, I respect you because you’re Blaine’s father. However, I don’t like how you secretly try to drive a wedge between us like that.”

His method was evil and cheap.

“Do you think I won’t dare to do anything to you?” Blade’s face darkened and his tone was as cold as ice.

“This is your territory. I can’t escape even if I have the ability to do so. However, if you really harm me today, you might regret what you did to me when Blaine comes back from the border.”

She fired back at him in a straightforward manner. Clenching his fist, Blade was speechless.

Ruby was about to leave after she was done talking. “If there’s nothing else, I’ll take my leave, senior.”

Junior? She knew that he was a senior yet she dared to talk to him in that attitude?

Nobody ever dared to talk back to him like that. Even Blaine never did that before.

Blaine clenched his fist.

A few guards surrounded Ruby as soon as she arrived at the end of the aisle.

It seemed like they would not let her go so easily.

However, she was not an easy person to deal with as well. She brought a gun along with her when she came.

Blade turned around. Standing at the end of the aisle, she looked at Blade who was standing not far away. “Are you sure you don’t want to let me go?”

Blade looked somewhat tense. “If you insist on staying together with Blaine, he might be called a traitor forever. Do you know how serious this is?”

Ruby lowered her beaded eyes and was silent for a few moments. Then, she lifted her eyes and stared straight at Blade.

“I know how serious this is, but if you can’t live your life however you want, what’s the point of becoming a loyal slave? I’d rather die if I have to give up someone that I love just to live in others’ expectations.”

Blade’s face darkened and said, “You’re still too young now. You’ll know what responsibility is when you reach my age!"

Ruby let out a faint laugh, “I’ve once thought of staying single forever to achieve the supreme ideal. Someone must sacrifice for the world. If I don’t do it, someone else would have to do it anyway. I might as well sacrifice myself.”

“What are you trying to say?”

“I’m trying to say that I don’t feel that way anymore after meeting Blaine. Maintaining peace and achieving the supreme ideal was nothing compared to a person you want to spend the rest of your life with. I don’t care about the future. I only want a peaceful relationship for now.”

She thought she would regret her decision in the future but coming to think of it, people say you would only regret the choices you did not make.

Humans were always like that. They always regret their decisions after they make a bad choice.
