Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 836

Verian was invited by Helen to hang out with her at the capital when Cherie's final exam had just finished. She would be able to visit Cherie in school and bring her home to North City at the same time.

When Verian arrived at the ground floor of the female's dorm, Cherie did not pick up Verian's call even after Verian had called her several times.

Hence, Verian decided to enter the dorm. She asked the warden, "Greetings, I am Cherie Fudd's mother. She's a freshman and is under the English Program. Can I visit her in her dorm?"

When the warden noticed how nice and well-dressed Verian was, she said, "Sure. Just register your name here."

After Verian registered her name, she went directly to Cherie's room to look for her.

The door was open and there were people in the room, so Verian politely knocked on the door.

Natalie was busy packing and getting ready to head back home when she noticed a pretty woman standing by the door when she turned around. She found the woman quite familiar looking but could not remember where she had seen her before.

"You are?"

Verian smiled and said, "I am Cherie's mother. I can't seem to reach her though so I decided to wait for her in her room. Are you her roommate?"

It was only then did Natalie realize why Verian seemed so familiar to her. She met Cherie's parents on the first day of school.

"I am her roommate but… do you not know that Cherie isn't staying in this room anymore?" Natalie probed.

Verian raised her brows slightly as she asked, "She didn't even tell me that she isn't staying in this room anymore. Where is she staying then?"

It would be unlikely that Heaton arranged for her to stay in a single apartment since even if he did, he would have told Verian about it so she would not be clueless.

Natalie teased, "Well, Cherie is staying with her boyfriend. Don't you know about it, aunty? I thought she told you and had gotten permission from her family before she moved in with her boyfriend?"

Boyfriend?

Verian frowned harder.

When did Cherie even get a boyfriend? Even more so, moved in with her boyfriend?

Verian felt extremely helpless after getting such a huge bombshell dropped on her.

"Yeah, aunty. Oh no, have I said something wrong?" Natalie pretended to cover her mouth.

Verian replied, "No, thank you. I still have stuff to do. I'll be on my way."

"Take care now, aunty."

Natalie had a smug look while watching Verian leave.

As fearless as Cherie was, she should be extremely terrified of her parents now, right?

'Hmph, I'll leave it to her parents to teach her how she should really behave.'

Verian received a phone call from Cherie after she got out of the dorm.

"Hey, Monty. The cafeteria was too noisy earlier and I missed your call. Are you calling me because you miss me?"

Verian could not bring herself to feel happy even after hearing her daughter's cheerful and childish voice. She spoke in a cold tone, "I've arrived at the capital, Jelly Bean and I'm at your dorm. Come over to meet me."

Cherie was instantly on high alert while her heart felt like it was on a roller coaster ride.

Oh no, could Monty have already known about her moving in with her boyfriend?

Cherie bolted straight back to her dorm without finishing her lunch while carrying her backpack.

Cherie noticed Monty immediately when she was almost at her dorm. "Monty!"

Cherie ran over. She said while trying to catch her breath, "Monty, why didn't you tell me before you came over to visit?"

Verian said while staring at Cherie's exhausted and heaving expression, "If I had told you sooner, I believe I wouldn't have found out about you having a boyfriend and you being bold enough to move in with your boyfriend now, right?"

Cherie's face instantly turned pale and she was speechless.

"Speak now, Jelly Bean. Are there any other secrets you're hiding from me and your father?"

Cherie immediately waved her little hands around while violently shaking her head as she said, "Nothing else, I swear!"
