Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 843

On the third day of New Year, Heaton flew over to the capital.

Boyle was startled when he received a call from an unknown number.

The person was an aloof, polite and handsome man. His facial features had some similarities to that of Cherie.

This man exuded an aura of someone with a high position with his demeanor being graceful and poised.

In comparison, Boyle Lawson looked slightly young and immature, as proven by his age and life experience.

The two of them sat by the window.

Heaton never liked to beat around the bush. Hence, he went straight to the point. “I’m Cherie’s father, Heaton. Nice to meet you.”

“Nice to meet you too.”

“I’m aware that you’re dating my daughter. I know I shouldn’t interfere with Cherie’s relationship but you’re Hanson’s son. The young girl Hanson kidnapped eight years ago is my daughter.”

Boyle’s eyes flickered. Shock… disbelief... all sorts of complex emotions overwhelmed him at this instant. Words were stuck in his throat and he could not say a word.

What an irony.

Heaton scrutinized him and continued, “It seems like you didn’t know about this.”

His throat bobbed. After a while, he asked, “Mr. Fudd, do you want me to break up with your daughter?”

Although Heaton was resolute and merciless at work, he could not bring himself to be domineering in dealing with this matter. After all, Boyle did not do anything wrong.

“Yes.”

Boyle lowered his gaze and furrowed his brows. “Does she know the one who kidnapped her was my father?”

“She doesn’t know about it and I’m not planning to tell her either. That is why I’m here, hoping that you can take the initiative to end this relationship. I’m sure you’re aware of her temperament. If I were to suggest she cut ties with you, she won’t listen to me. She will pretend to listen to my words and continue to keep in touch with you behind our backs.”

Boyle imagined her occasionally mischievous behavior as she brushed her parents off. He smiled and said, “Yeah, she will.”

It was Heaton’s first time meeting and talking to Boyle. Judging from Boyle’s expression as he mentioned Jelly Bean, Heaton could clearly feel that his feeling toward Jelly Bean was serious.

However, his realization made him feel more guilty toward Boyle.

Heaton pursed his lips and uttered, “I’m sorry. You didn’t do anything wrong but I can’t allow my daughter to be together with the son of a dangerous man.”

Boyle was not enraged and was surprisingly calm. He took a deep breath and answered, “I know and I can understand from your point of view. If I were to know that she’s the little girl my father kidnapped eight years ago, I wouldn’t have agreed to date her from the start.”

His future was a pit of despair while she was the light that radiated warm and positive energy around. She should be able to live her own happy life and not fall into the abyss with him.

It was fine if he was entangled with Hanson but he would definitely not let Hanson be entangled with Cherie.

“So, I hope you can completely cut off ties with her. As her father, I hope you can do so.”

Boyle’s hands on his lap were cold. “I need some time.”

Heaton nodded in agreement. “I don’t like to owe people a favor. I know that your conflict with your father has gone viral on the internet. With that, I can solve the issue for you.”

Boyle was a proud person. As he lifted his gaze and looked at Heaton, his eyes were calm and aloof. “I will settle the issue myself. Mr. Fudd, since I’ve agreed to break up with Cherie, please spare me some sense of dignity.”

Heaton was momentarily stunned by his words. A trace of admiration flashed across his eyes.

Surprisingly, Boyle did not take the breakup as a condition in getting compensation or a request from him. Before meeting Boyle, Heaton figured that no matter how proud a person was, Boyle would not be able to resist such temptation since he came from a poor family.
