Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 848

The next two weeks after they broke up, Cherie completely cut Boyle out of her life as if he had never appeared before her.

Although both of them still had each other’s contact and were still friends on Twitter, no one took the initiative to text each other.

Cherie was feeling extremely down recently. She did not have much appetite and felt nauseated most of the time.

Whitney bought braised drumsticks for her. However, after taking two bites, she did not feel like eating anymore.

Whitney thought that her digestion deteriorated due to her bad mood. “You shouldn’t torture yourself and your stomach because of Boyle. If you continue having just a few bites of food, you will be all skin and bones!”

Cherie was not particularly skinny before that. With slender limbs, a lean, yet fleshy waist and chubby cheeks, her figure was just nice and attractive.

However, she totally had no appetite nowadays and had lost three pounds within two weeks.

During the physical education class in the afternoon, Cherie passed out and was sent to the infirmary.

As she woke up, Mandy was sitting by the bedside accompanying her.

The school physician approached her and asked in a serious tone, “Girl, are you trying to lose weight?”

Cherie shook her head.

The physician doubted her words and glared at her. “You don’t have to control your diet since you’re already skinny. If you continue being like this, you will damage your stomach. I suspect you have hypoglycemia due to irregular eating patterns. I can’t give you a body checkup here. Hence, I’d suggest you go to the hospital and do a full body checkup.”

Mandy was worried and asked, “There shouldn’t be much of a problem, right?”

The physician answered her professionally, “Although fainting is not a trivial matter to be ignored, she’ll be in a life-threatening situation if she goes into shock. Hence, I’d advise you to go to the hospital to have a thorough examination. It won’t cost a lot of money anyway. You should take care of your health since you’re still young.”

Mandy lifted Cherie off the bed and asked, “Cher, let me accompany you to the hospital for a body checkup, okay? You look pale and unhealthy to me.”

Cherie felt incredibly weak. “It’s probably due to my irregular eating pattern. You can just send me back to my hostel. I’ll rest today and apply for medical leave to go to the hospital tomorrow. I can go on my own.”

“Alright.”

After returning to the hostel, Cherie laid on the bed for a long time but she could not fall asleep. She had a bowl of red bean congee at the cafeteria earlier on and had regained some energy. Hence, she reached out for her phone and scrolled idly.

People would subconsciously hope to have someone beside them when they were sick or felt uncomfortable and so did Cherie.

She recalled the times she spent in the Greentown Condominium. When she had a fever, Boyle would stay by her side, measuring her body temperature and feeding her water from time to time. He even cooked spicy chicken lasagna for her too.

She despised herself as after all the harsh words he had said to her which hurted her feelings and dignity, she could not help but miss him dearly.

She was afraid that she would contact him on impulse. Hence, she switched off her phone and tossed it aside before covering herself with a blanket, forcing herself to fall asleep.

...

The next day, Cherie took medical leave and went to the hospital for a physical examination in the afternoon.

She first had a routine blood test and her blood sugar level checked. Although some figures were rather low, it still fell within the normal range.

She headed to the gastroenterology department after getting her blood test results.

The doctor asked, “Young lady, where are you feeling unwell?”

Cherie honestly answered, “I fainted when during a physical education class yesterday. The school physician suspected hypoglycemia and hence suggested that I go to the hospital for a body checkup. This is my results for the routine blood test and blood sugar test.

The doctor scanned through the documents and frowned. “Although your blood sugar level is on the low side, it’s unlikely to be the cause of your fainting. Did you experience any symptoms other than that?”

“Nowadays, I don’t have much appetite. I feel nauseous at the sight of meat. I keep dozing off in classes and feel fatigued.”

The doctor was momentarily stunned and his gaze wandered around her.
