The headquarters of MO Group was located in the middle of Wall Street, New York. It was one of the world's largest law firms and had a foot in commercial businesses, the economy, entertainment and other companies under its subsidiary.
It seemed that in just seven years, this legendary man gained immense notoriety in the world of business seemingly out of nowhere. He had become a living legend amongst the businessmen in Wall Street.
As the founder of MO Group, Boyle also held the largest share in the group and thus becoming the most powerful shareholder and CEO of MO Group.
Boyle from seven years ago would only cycle around with a bike while wearing a simple and cheap white shirt. He would also be seen cradling two to three books while he cycled. He was a quiet man and a popular student in school.
Seven years later, Boyle had become powerful. His shirt was so well ironed that not a single wrinkle could be seen. He would often be dressed in a formal suit. Elegance was reeking from every inch of his body and he would often be followed by at least two bodyguards whenever he was out. He owned a very limited edition luxury car as transportation and whenever he was silent, he would look extremely intimidating. This caused most businessmen who interacted with him to feel nervously intimidated.
Boyle's past was a mystery to all of his international competitors since this thirty-two year old man whose background was a complete mystery could somehow manage to control the market and become one of Times magazine most influential men of the year.
However, this man always maintained a very low profile and usually refused any media interviews. Thus, this caused his life to be filled with interesting speculation amongst the media making him stand out and seemed even more attractive.
For someone so perfect to be shrouded in so much mystery often captivated and piqued curiosity amongst the common folk.
Calum knocked on the door and entered Boyle's office after the acquisition contract had been signed with Marks Group.
Calum was holding a magazine in his hand as he said, "Boss, this is the previous issue of MV magazine. You happened to be on their front page. However, an interview with you has been written inside. I skimmed through it and found it very absurd. Do you want me to contact them?"
Boyle accepted the magazine and took a glance at the front page. However, he was distracted by other unrelated articles.
"World famous pianist, Momo."
Boyle flipped to the article about her and there was a picture of Cherie smiling widely.
They were both in the same magazine but were closely separated by a couple pages.
Calum noticed Boyle's silence and assumed his boss was furious from how absurd his article was so he said, "Boss, why don't I contact our legal team and send MV magazine an official lawyer’s letter and have them recall every single magazine of this issue circulated in the market?"
Boyle looked up and said, "There's no need for that. It is fine."
Calum was speechless.
How was this fine? Was his boss actually interested in the critique and comments from the media about him?
Calum nodded hesitantly as he said, "Sure boss."
Boyle kept the magazine well.
Boyle suddenly exclaimed, "Oh that's right, I need to take some time off."
Calum felt even more confused since his boss had just closed the deal with acquiring Marks Group and the following days would require more attention from him just to retrench and reshuffle the internal workings for Marks Group. How could he possibly still take a break at this moment?
"But Marks Group…"
Boyle calmly cut him off as he said, "There are plenty of intelligent and capable people in MO Group. Operations will still continue as normal with my absence anyway. If everything falls apart in my absence well, that shows there is something wrong with our internal management."
Calum nodded as he said, "Fair point, boss."
"I need to return home to my country tomorrow. Book a ticket for me."
"You're going on a vacation back home, boss?"
However, returning home to the capital felt no different from New York since both were huge cities. There were not too many spots that were suitable for a vacation in the capital anyway.
Boyle looked up and took a glance at Calum. He cracked a subtle grin as he said, "A good employee will stay out of his employer's private life."
Calum nervously rubbed his nose and said with a smile, "I'll book your ticket, boss."
After Calum left, Boyle stood up from his leather chair, grabbed his phone and walked to the huge window before staring down the busy street.
