Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 861

Cherie hung out with Whitney for the entire day. The day ended with Cherie getting into Whitney's BMW as Whitney drove her to a creak just to enjoy the breeze.

It was already past 8pm by the time they arrived at the creak. The creak was dark when nightfall came.

The night sky was brightly lit by an ocean of stars while the moon was brightly reflected on the creak.

A gust of refreshing and cold breeze blew the moment they got out of the car. Cherie walked over to the creak and did some stretches while exhaling.

Whitney opened up the trunk and took out a dozen beers as she said, "Look at the good stuff I've brought, Cherie!"

Cherie turned around and looked back at her. Her eyes glimmered as she said, "How are we going to drive back if we’re both drunk?"

"We'll just call for someone to drive us back then."

Whitney carried the beer with her and walked over to the creak. They sat down on a huge rock while they drank.

They both grabbed a bottle and uncapped them. A loud and crisp 'hiss' could be heard.

"Hey! Cheers!"

Cherie was a lightweight. However, unlike when she was little, she was now willing to drink beer so she could somewhat handle her drinks.

On the other hand, Whitney was not considered a lightweight although her alcohol tolerance was not exactly high either. She was just about average.

Both women sat on a rock and were having a blast as they talked and drank beer.

After they got some alcohol into their systems, they were starting to feel bold as they started to branch into more extreme discussion topics.

Whitney grabbed Cherie's arm and asked with a smile, "Say, Cherie, answer me honestly. Do you still like Boyle?"

"I want to stop liking him," Cherie replied with a forced smile.

"You want to stop liking him? That means you still like him then, right?"

Cherie got up and forcefully threw her empty bottle into the creak.

A beautiful splash could be seen after that.

She shouted out to the seemingly endless creak, "I’ll never like Boyle Lawson ever again!"

Whitney cracked a huge smile and said, "Now we're talking, girl! An ex is in the past, so letting go of that past allows us to embrace new people in the future. I’ll get you someone even more attractive and handsome than him!"

After that, Whitney got up as well and started yelling at the creak, "Someone a hundred—No, a thousand times better than Boyle Lawson!"

Cherie grabbed the creak's barrier and yelled, "Boyle Lawson! I hate you! Please die!"

Whitney yelled with Cherie, "Boyle Lawson, you're a real bastard! You’re blind!"

As they both vented, Cherie started bursting out laughing. She laughed really hard and seemed quite relaxed.

Whitney turned around and looked at Cherie before hugging her as she said, "Welcome home, Cherie."

"I missed you guys dearly too in the last couple of years. I really wanted to call you guys but if I did, I didn’t even know what I would have said."

Whitney replied as her heart wrenched. "I know, I really do. You're home now and no longer alone anymore. You’ll never be alone anymore."

"Thank you, Whitney, for still being willing to be my friend."

Whitney teared up as she said, "Oh, you idiot. We're best friends for life."

Cherie went out drinking with Whitney last night and by the time she returned home, it was already past 11pm.

It was already one in the morning when she was done with her shower and dawdling about.

She woke up later than usual the next morning. It was already late noon when she was woken up by her assistant, Wendy.

"Hey, Wendy, what's up?"

Wendy replied, "Cherie, there's a charity dinner event this Friday night. The organizer wants to invite you and maybe have you play the piano for them. I’ve already agreed to their invitation for you. Is the time alright with you?"

Cherie said, "Ugh, you already agreed to have me attend their event anyway. Can I even say no now?"
