Boney had become the talk of the Fudd family when Cherie brought it home.
Harrison asked, "Where'd you get that fat cat from?"
Cherie replied while she fed Boney, "I found it."
Harrison was shocked and completely unconvinced as he said, "A stray cat can be that clean and fat?"
"It's Whitney's cat, she...had to prepare for her wedding so she needed me to help take care of her cat for a few days."
Harrison believed her after that. "Her cat. Okay, that makes sense."
Cherie brought Boney to her room after dinner. Boney was a bold cat and although it was in a foreign environment, it was completely unafraid. It pounced on Cherie's bed while she was distracted.
Cherie found the chubby Boney extremely adorable, so she took her phone out and took a couple of pictures of Boney before posting it on Facebook.
The caption wrote, [You're not Boney, you're chubby.]
…
Boyle shut his laptop down while he was in his Lake Street villa.
He was flooded with text messages from Huntley.
[Boyle, what on Earth is going on? Why is your cat with Cherie?
[Have you reconciled with Cherie?]
[Whoa, you won't even tell me when you're planning to do something this insane?]
Boyle raised his brows and replied to him. [How'd you know about this?]
Huntley replied. [What are you talking about? Cherie’s just posted a few pictures of your cat on Facebook.]
Boyle's eyes lit up and he immediately went on Facebook.
As expected, she posted a few pictures of Boney on her profile.
Huntley sent him another text. [You haven't answered my question yet. What on Earth are you both hiding from me? Whitney is spamming me into oblivion right now.]
Boyle replied. [It's exactly as whatever you’ve imagined in your head.]
After replying to Huntley, a certain someone made the first post in seven years on his Facebook profile.
It was also the exact same picture of Boney.
Both their mutual friends found the entire situation very peculiar.
They had already broken up with each other but posted the exact same picture? It seemed the fat cat in their pictures was also their shared property.
Cherie's comment section had exploded out of control.
[Wait, you've gotten back with Boyle?]
[What the hell, no way! If I remembered correctly it’s been seven years! You guys are dating each other again after seven years?]
[Holy sh*t! What kind of a god-tier reunion is this?]
[F*ck! Not going to lie but I've always known you and Boyle were inseparable when you both broke up back then.]
On the other hand, Whitney immediately sent Cherie a voice message.
"Cherie, did you get back together with Boyle?"
Cherie was completely puzzled and still was not sure of what was happening. She replied, "What? No."
"The picture of Boney you uploaded earlier. Did you know that Boyle has also uploaded the same picture? Boyle’s never posted anything for the last seven years!"
Cherie was speechless.
Cherie went ahead and looked up his profile, deciding d to ignore all the comments. She then changed the settings of her post to 'Only Me.' This caused the post to completely disappear from everyone's feed.
Everyone thought she had deleted her post.
Whitney said, "So does this mean you’ve actually met Boyle already?"
Cherie did not deny her claim as she said, "Yeah, at the night of that charity dinner event,"
"Oh my god. Did he come to the event too? How come I didn’t see him then? Man, if I did, I'd help you get your revenge."
Cherie was in a sour mood as she said, "We only ran into each other. I don't think I'd interact with him any more than that."
Whitney said a lot of things. However, Cherie was not paying attention to whatever she was saying.
Whitney said, "Hey Cherie, accompany me tomorrow when I try on my wedding gown? Are you free though?"
Cherie only replied after Whitney asked her twice. "Sure."
After some small talk, Cherie told her that she was tired and hung up the call after that.
