Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 874

The black Bentley entered the villa on Lake Street and parked on the soft grass.

Calum got out of the car and opened the door.

Boyle carefully carried the woman up and placed her over his shoulder as if he was carrying a child. That would not wake her up easily.

It seemed she had not been sleeping well lately since she was still sleeping so soundly.

Boyle carried her indoors and up into his room.

However, she would be more prone to catching a cold from sleeping in wet clothes.

Therefore, Boyle decided to strip her completely naked before pulling the covers over her.

She was asleep for a really long time.

Boyle walked out of the room before shutting the door gently behind him.

Calum was still waiting for him downstairs.

Boyle unbuttoned his shirt and rolled up his sleeves as he said, "Have you found out anything about the thing I asked you to do?"

Calum was making a lot of phone calls downstairs earlier and said, "I have. I was told that there's a B-list celebrity on set with her earlier. His name is Wade Lexis. He was trying to touch Miss Fudd… I mean, madam. They were later assigned on the same team. Madam slipped and fell into the pool when they were doing the water obstacle course. It seemed she swallowed a lot of pool water earlier."

Boyle's gaze grew extremely cold after hearing that.

Calum knew that his boss was infuriated then.

Calum asked, "How are you going to deal with him, boss?"

Boyle replied with a neutral look, "Ruin his career."

Calum felt chills and goosebumps after hearing his boss utter those words.

"Sure, boss. I'll inform Heavenly Entertainment to cancel Wade's contract and restrict all other agencies from hiring Wade after that."

Boyle asked, "Was there anyone else who was bullying madam?"

"I had some people ask about it already and they told me that there are a few people who were bad mouthing madam. Should I take care of those people too?"

Boyle was not that unreasonable, so he said, "No. Those people are unimportant and we shouldn't make anyone think that we're abusing our power."

"...Yes boss."

The corner of Calum's mouth twitched as he thought to himself, 'Aren't you abusing your power now?"

Calum asked, "Are you returning to the office later today, boss?"

Boyle poured himself a glass of water, took a sip, and said, "No. Cancel everything that’s scheduled from noon onward."

"Sure, boss."

Boyle asked, "Who accepted this job for madam?"

Calum replied honestly, "It's madam's manager, Wendy Wills. I was also told that this job was arranged by Universal Studios and they wanted madam to branch out into the entertainment industry."

Boyle frowned and was obviously displeased.

It would be too exhausting for her to get herself involved in the entertainment industry. Not to mention, it was riddled with drama at every corner. That sort of job was unsuitable for her.

Calum added, "Well, it's because madam has been putting off a lot of work recently and Universal Studios are already very displeased with her. They even scheduled a lot of other work and assignments for madam. It also seems like her manager, Wendy, is working with them, so they accepted and signed a lot of other contracts for madam without her knowledge."

Boyle was stunned as he asked, "How much longer does madam have left with Universal Studios?"

"About a year."

"It's too long. Cancel the contract for her."

Calum was a little worried as he said, "Madam is very valuable to them so I'm afraid that no matter how much money we offer to them, they won't be willing to release her."

Boyle rubbed his wrist and seemed to be thinking about something. He spoke after a long moment of silence, "If they refuse to release her, we'll bring the matter to court."

It seemed just by bringing up the issue of Universal Studios accepting and signing contracts without notifying their clients would be enough to bring them down to their knees. Not to mention with that scandal alone, their reputation would be tarnished.

As long as Universal Studios was not run by a group of buffoons, they would not fight against Boyle.

The only reason why Boyle was willing to fork out so much money to pay the termination fees for her contract was not that he was afraid of Universal Studios. Instead, he was just concerned about not causing a huge scandal for Cherie to bear.

"Sure boss, I'll get to it. However...what if madam refuses? What are you going to do then?"

Boyle turned around and walked upstairs before calmly replying to him, "I'll convince her."
