Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 884

"You're drunk Boyle, let go of me…"

Cherie was pushing the man away. However, Boyle was still able to kiss her. He did not feel like forcing her to do anything she did not want to since they still have a lot of time together in the future. He could take everything one step at a time.

He released his grasp slightly but she was not fully free from his clutches. After letting out a long winded sigh, he buried himself in her nape and calmed his breathing down.

Cherie was being pressed against the couch and all she could do was stare at the ceiling. She bit her lips and asked, "Are you really that irresponsible to all of your ex-girlfriends?"

It seemed her comment of him being irresponsible made Boyle laugh instead of being offended.

He slowly raised his head and stared at her with his glimmering eyes as he muttered a single word in a confident tone, "Yes."

Cherie was speechless.

He continued, "However, I only have one ex-girlfriend so that means, I'm only irresponsible to her because I couldn't help myself then. That is why I can never be a gentleman whenever I face her."

That was because he felt like a normal man in front of her. He wanted to hug her, kiss her and desperately wanted nothing more than to be closer to her.

"... What about Natalie then?" Cherie asked while staring directly into his eyes without looking away.

Boyle was a little stunned and confused as he asked, "Natalie? What does Natalie have anything to do with me?"

Cherie was not surprised by his reaction because she was never convinced that the man in the video was Boyle.

Boyle told her that he only had one ex-girlfriend and he had no reason to lie to her since they had already broken up anyway.

That meant that Natalie and him were never a couple.

Cherie pushed him away and said, "Nothing."

Boyle grabbed her wrist when she stood up. He called out to her, "Cherie."

Cherie asked, "Why'd you pretend to be drunk?"

Boyle stared at her little face with a burning hot gaze as he replied to her honestly, "I needed an excuse to kiss you. Is that answer acceptable?"

Cherie was speechless.

Cherie raised her hand and immediately gave Boyle a huge tight slap across his face.

Boyle's face had been slapped by her.

However, Boyle seemed to be smiling.

Cherie yelled at him, "Shameless."

Boyle watched the little rascal pick up her things and furiously left his apartment after that.

Boyle rubbed his left cheek that was slapped by her. It actually did not hurt him.

He stood up and stared out the window downstairs.

It did not take long for that little silhouette to exit the walk way.

Boyle smiled as he watched her leave from upstairs.

It seemed she was starting to grow a temper at him. This was a good sign since she was no longer cold and calm toward him.

Her ability to be angry at him was her step in getting better. He would make her flirt with him just like she used to.

Boyle smiled as he felt extremely satisfied.

The following day happened to be Huntley and Whitney's wedding.

Since Cherie was Whitney's maid of honor, she was staying with Whitney in a house Huntley's family arranged for her. Huntley's entourage would be coming over to greet her early next morning. After that, they would all depart to the cruise ship together. The wedding ceremony would officially begin then.

Whitney had set the alarm to ring at four in the morning. After both Cherie and another one of Whitney's bridesmaids were startled awake from the alarm, they no longer felt drowsy anymore.

Whitney said, "You both can sleep for a little while longer. The makeup and fashion team will arrive shortly. You both as my maid of honor and my bridesmaids are going to feel the most tired today so you both rest up a little while longer."

Since Cherie did not feel sleepy ever since last night, she said, "I can't sleep so I'll help you for a bit."

Yvonne could not bring herself to go back to sleep, so she said, "I'm going to wake up too. Come on, so what if I'm going to be exhausted. It's only going to be a day anyway."

The bride's fashion and makeup team arrived shortly after.

A complete entourage of people came in with a whole rack of clothes when they entered. The wedding gown stood out the most.

It seemed the bride would have to change three to four sets of clothes in a single day.

Whitney was surrounded by two hair stylists as she had her hair styled by them. She told both of her bridesmaids, "Hey Cherie, Yvonne, you guys should have the makeup artists do your makeup too. You guys don't have to do it on your own."

Two makeup artists came along with her team. It seemed they had more than enough time and manpower to get everything done.

When the young makeup artist took a glance at both bridesmaids, she spoke with a smile, "Not only is the bride herself pretty, even her bridesmaids are pretty too. Your skin is amazing and it will be very easy to do your makeup since anything will look good on you guys."

After the trio were done getting their makeup, outfit and hair done, the sky had already lit up brightly outside.

When Whitney received Huntley's phone call, it seemed the usually extroverted and bold Whitney would blush bashfully too.

Yvonne was secretly laughing at her after Whitney hung up the call.

Whitney scoffed and said, "When I toss the bouquet later, I want the both of you to win and do whatever it takes to catch the damn thing alright? Yvonne, I'm not going to nag at you too much since you have a boyfriend already. Cherie however, especially you. You've been single for way too long now and it's about time for you to actually get a boyfriend."

Yvonne said, "Cherie is a world famous pianist though. How can we, normal peasants possibly compare to people like her? Cherie has to find someone extremely amazing and capable for herself since not any random person would be able to be worthy of her anyway."

Whitney replied, "Fair point. Man, Huntley's friends are all unreliable anyway."

Cherie chuckled and said, "Oh, does Huntley know about you constantly badmouthing him behind his back?"

Whitney did not seem to be bothered by it at all as she said, "Me? Being afraid of him? Oh please, I am a princess before marriage and after my marriage I'll be a queen. Not to mention, I'd be the Queen's mother after giving birth to my child."

Yvonne chuckled and said, "Oh, you should be so ungrateful now. Huntley treats you amazingly well already."

The groom's entourage arrived at around nine in the morning. However, it seemed both of her bridesmaids were not talented enough in stopping the groom's entourage. They stood no chance against people as cunning as Hector. It did not take them long to be let in.

Boyle, who was Huntley's best man, took an intense glance at Cherie when he entered the house and when he walked by her.

Whenever she was not working, not playing the piano or not going to any concerts, she would dress up extremely casually. However, she was wearing a beautiful dress today while her makeup made her look extremely stunning. She was even wearing bright red lipstick. She looked absolutely stunning, so much so that words could not describe just how beautiful she looked.
