Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 89

“Get the hell out of here!"

Heaton frowned his eyebrows and said icily.

Verian served the food on the table. "I'll go out when you finish all the food. Otherwise, I've no idea how I’ll explain this to Little Jelly Bean."

Heaton did not move. Verian tried to ask him in a kind and gentle tone, "Are you still angry? Why don't we do it this way? I know that the person you like is Nancy. When the old master's condition gets better, I'll confess to the old master?"

The man raised his eyes and stared at her coldly. "What are you going to confess to the old master?"

"I’ll confess to the old master that we're pretending to be husband and wife. I know you started it because..."

Before her words were finished, Heaton held her wrists and pulled her into his arms abruptly. Verian fell on his legs and sat on them. Her face turned red as she asked, "Wh-What are you doing?"

The man smiled coldly and stared at her ferociously with his black eyes. "Since we're pretending to be husband and wife, why did you sleep with me?"

"..."

He was the one who lured her!

"I-I'm not going to hold you responsible for it."

This woman! Did she still want her life? How dare she say these kinds of words!

It was unknown whether he was provoked, or if it was because he stayed in the hospital to take care of the old master these days and did not eat his three meals per day regularly that he felt a dull pain in his stomach.

Verian lifted her eyes and found Heaton's face paled. She raised her small hand to check his forehead. "Are you not feeling well?"

Heaton glared at her. "What? You feel sorry?"

Verian recalled Little Jelly Bean saying he would feel pain when he was hungry. She thought that Heaton's stomach may not be in good condition. Her hand touched the position where his stomach was. "Are you having a stomachache?"

She was moving randomly in his arms, and his stomach was aching. Also, he was in a bad mood. He became more irritated. He held her body and whispered a warning in her ear. "Don't move randomly!"

Verian was hugged tightly by him as if she was his heater. Considering his stomachache, she let him hold her for a while. She stretched her hand to gently caress his stomach. "Is the pain very bad? Do you have medicine at home?"

Heaton did not speak but Verian could not do nothing and just watch him suffer from a stomachache. She struggled a few times. "L-Let me down. I’ll go get some medicine for you."

Heaton did not release her. "There's no medicine at home."

So, what should they do?

Verian remembered there were a few pots of aloe vera on the balcony. She suddenly thought of a way and smiled faintly at him. "Wait for me for a moment."

She quickly got up from his lap and walked out of the study.

By the time she came back, she had a glass of water in her hand.

Verian handed that cup of 'water' to Heaton. "Drink quickly. After drinking it, you'll feel less pain."

Her tone sounded like she was coaxing a little kid. It was better for her to use that tone to coax Little Jelly Bean.

This was just a glass of water! His pain would be gone after drinking it?

However, Heaton still took the glass. As he took a sip, he frowned.

The water was cold.

This woman! Did she feel that his stomachache was not serious enough? How could she let him drink cold water?

She was deliberately retaliating against him, was she not?

"Verian Mont!"

"Why are you looking at me so viciously? I don't plan to hurt you. Drink it quickly. I guarantee you that you won't feel the pain anymore after drinking it. This prescription is very effective."

Heaton did not know why he actually believed her nonsense. In one sip, he finished drinking the cup of cold water.

Verian looked at him gently. "You take a rest here. I'll cook you some porridge."

After a while, Heatonn’s face looked much better when Verian went upstairs again. His face was not as pale as before, the healthy complexion coming back to his face a little.
