Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 922

A clarification video from Mr. A was uploaded online at midnight and it spread like wildfire among netizens.

Boyle’s scandal was handled well and at the same time, a photo of him kissing Cherie passionately at the basement parking lot of the Peninsular Restaurant was also posted anonymously on the internet.

When Boyle clicked open the blurred photo, the resolution and the angle of the photo taken were pretty bad but was still pleasing to the eye.

Calum called Boyle and asked, “Boss, shall we remove the photo of you and Cherie from the internet?”

Boyle was in a good mood. “It’s alright. I like the photo.”

The feeling of possessing her was enjoyable.

Although some netizens suspected the two pieces of news were Boyle’s tactic to clear his scandal, Boyle did not take their comments to heart.

People’s impression of him online did not matter to him at all.

Boyle arrived at the company early the next morning.

“Boss, what should we do with Natalie Jones?” Calum asked.

“Send someone to find out what exactly happened between her and my wife. If possible, try to file a lawsuit if she did something harmful toward my wife. Otherwise, we can settle the issue in private.”

“Noted. I’ll notify the people in the capital.”

After giving out his orders to Calum, his gaze landed on his calendar on the table. Today’s date was circled, implying that it was an important day to Boyle.

It was her birthday and also the day when they first met each other.

Boyle said, “I’ll probably leave in the afternoon after the meeting. You can call me if there’s anything urgent.”

“Noted. Are you meeting Mrs. Lawson to celebrate her birthday?”

Boyle smiled. He was feeling good.

“Should I order a birthday cake or anything?” Calum asked.

“It’s alright. I’ll do it on my own.”

Calum smiled. “Alright, I hope you have a day well spent with your wife.”

At the Fudd family mansion.

At ten in the morning, Cherie was dragged out of bed by Verian.

Ever since Cherie had depression, she rarely ate breakfast. She would wake up at noon and suffer from insomnia at night.

Her sleep schedule was totally messed up.

After washing up, Cherie was showered with confetti as soon as she went downstairs.

Cherie got up on the wrong side of the bed today. She stood there unmoving, her eyes tightly shut.

Harrison exclaimed, “Surprise! Happy birthday, sis!”

Cherie clenched her fists and swiped away at the confetti that littered her hair.

Ignoring Harrison’s surprise, she walked past Harrison and headed toward the living room. She poured herself a cup of warm water and gulped it down to suppress the gloomy and annoyed temperament she was feeling.

Harrison stood there awkwardly and crept toward Verian. “Sis doesn’t seem to be happy with the surprise. Let’s not piss her off!” Harrison whispered into Verian’s ear.

Verian glanced at her daughter and spoke in a soft voice, “Jelly Bean, you should eat a little since you’ve just woken up. You don’t have to eat too much as your grandfather wants to celebrate your birthday together later.”

Cherie drank another sip of water. “It’s just a birthday. We don’t have to celebrate it.”

“We won’t invite any guests to our house. We’ll just have a simple reunion lunch as your birthday celebration. What do you think?” Verian negotiated.

“Okay,” Cherie impassively said and headed to the dining table. She had a few bites of food and drank a few sips of milk.

Verian tried to find a topic to lighten up her mood. “Your father will come back from the office in the afternoon to celebrate your birthday. Are you excited?”

“Yeah,” Cherie said indifferently.

Verian brushed Cherie’s disheveled hair and continued, “Madam Leah and I will prepare a few of your favorite dishes in the afternoon. Your dad will collect your birthday cake later. It’s a strawberry ice-cream cake. Do you like it?”

“Yeah.”

“That’s great.”
