When Boyle exited the coffee shop, he slowly released his tightly clenched fists.
It seemed his tense pent up emotions had also slightly relaxed.
It appeared that they still belonged to each other even after seven years.
Calum got out of the car when he noticed Boyle exiting the coffee shop. He opened the backseat door for Boyle.
Boyle entered the car.
While Calum drove, he took a glance at Boyle through the rear view mirror and asked, "Do you want to return to the office now, boss?"
Boyle replied, "Head to the Fudd family home."
"Alright, boss."
…
The black Maybach was driven all the way to the Fudd family home but Boyle did not get out of the car.
That was because he had not discussed marriage with Cherie's family yet and it would be inappropriate for Boyle to stride into the Fudd family home and meet her parents at that moment.
All Boyle did was give Cherie a call.
It did not take long for Cherie to get out of her house in a pair of slippers.
She seemed like she had just woken up from a nap since her hair was messy and she looked drowsy.
Calum opened the door as Cherie entered the car. Before she could look at Boyle and the instant she entered, she asked, "What do you want?"
Boyle reached out and immediately hugged her.
Cherie stumbled into his arms while being completely confused.
Boyle wrapped his huge arm around her slender waist before lowering his head and gave both her lips and her cheeks several kisses in a row.
Their breaths felt warm.
Cherie was blushing slightly from his series of kisses as she gently pushed him away.
The man stared at her with an extremely compassionate and loving gaze before speaking a deep voice, "I'll make sure you won't get a chance to miss me ever again in the future."
It seemed she had missed him so much that she even tried to look for any reminders of him from another man.
This made Boyle feel awful and he felt like a complete failure of a boyfriend.
Boyle carried the woman and sat her down on his lap before nuzzling against her forehead and the bridge of her nose.
Cherie asked, "What did Rowan say to you?"
Boyle stared at her clear and beautiful little face and seemed to have a smug look on his face as he said, "He said that we are made for each other and I'm the only person in this world worthy of you."
However, Rowan actually said…
"No man would be able to accept the fact that their ex-girlfriends would use suicide to threaten them. This is terrifyingly sick.
"Not to mention, no ex-girlfriends would harbor such strong feelings of entitlement toward their ex-boyfriends to the point that she wasn't even able to accept the fact that his ex-girlfriend had cooked a single dish for someone else and was willing to curse him with her own death.
"To any normal person, they would think that Cherie was sick in the head but now it seemed like with the way Cherie displays her love for you, the only logical explanation for all of this would be that not only was Cherie sick but you are just as twisted in the head as she is, Boyle. Your condition is severe too. The both of you are trapped in your own worlds without anyone else. Both of you are pretty much chained to each other now.
"No one dares to even start a relationship with Cherie except you. I don't understand why Cherie would choose to take her own life for you back then but now I do. You and Cherie both belong to each other since the both of you are mad. Hence, this meant that you both are made for each other."
Cherie pouted her lips and seemed unconvinced as she said, "That doesn't sound like Rowan at all."
Boyle grabbed her soft little hand and gave it a gentle squeeze in his palm before staring at her with a loving gaze as he asked with a calm smile, "Why? You don't think people would actually feel like we're both made for each other?"
Cherie stared intensely at him as she said, "I think Rowan must've called us sick or twisted to be so perfect for each other."
Boyle cracked a carefree smile before brushing his huge hand down her long messy hair as he said, "He's the sick and twisted one."
Cherie yawned due to her lack of sleep and the dark circles around her eyes were obvious.
Boyle's heart wrenched a little as he pulled her closer into him and said, "Were you sleeping when I called you?"
"I was awake for a while now and I'm really hungry."
Boyle asked, "What do you want to eat then?"
"I feel like eating lasagna."
"I'll make some for you at home."
It seemed like Boyle had taken Cherie away from the Fudd family home while she was still in her pajamas and a pair of slippers.
They arrived at Boyle's villa by Lake Street.
Cherie sat on the couch while Boney was lazing on the floor. She decided to reach out and pat Boney.
