Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 945

Cherie had a drumstick in her plate.

She gave Boyle that drumstick.

Boyle was slightly stunned. He looked at her and she was smiling childishly.

Boyle suddenly thought of that time when she visited him at the law firm and brought him food seven years ago. Back then, she ordered a drumstick from the university’s canteen as well and Huntley nearly ate his drumstick.

She protected the food and told Huntley that the drumstick was for Boyle, not for him.

Boyle smiled dotingly at her. Instead of giving the drumstick back to her, he ate it.

She looked very happy.

Boyle knew that was the way she expressed her love.

Boyle held Cherie’s hand as they took a walk around the university after they finished their dinner at the canteen.

The cool evening breeze was comfortable and relaxing.

The sky turned red due to the sunset.

Cherie and Boyle saw a couple kissing in the lovers’ garden.

Boyle did the same thing numerous times with Cherie back then.

There were a lot of couples in the lovers’ garden and Boyle’s heart was stirred.

He paused, turned to look at the girl beside him, and suddenly asked, “Can I kiss you?”

Cherie was slightly stunned. He rarely asked her such questions. He would usually kiss her right away if he wanted to do so.

However, Boyle’s handsome face was already in front of her right when she lifted her head to look at him.

His soft lips met hers.

It was thrilling.

Cherie subconsciously grabbed the shirt around his waist.

Boyle looked at her teasingly after they kissed. Her ears flushed red.

Cherie looked at him with her beaded eyes and said, “I haven’t even answered you.”

He was warm yet overbearing.

They met Chase at the bike parking when they left the lovers’ garden.

Chase lifted his spectacles to get a clearer look. He realized it was Boyle and Cherie when he walked closer to them. His face immediately lit up.

“Boyle Lawson! Cherie Fudd! It’s really you guys!”

Chase ran toward them with a briefcase in his hand.

Boyle and Cherie turned around at the same time. They were surprised as well.

Chase smiled and said, “I thought I was seeing things, but it turned out to be really you guys!”

Boyle and Chase knew each other. Seven years ago, Chase was close to Boyle when he was still a student. He was his teacher and best friend at the same time.

A gentleman's associations were as plain as water. Although they did not contact each other frequently for the past seven years, they were still happy to see each other.

Chase pulled Boyle into a hug. He patted Boyle on the back and praised him, “You’re one of the best students I’ve ever had. Boyle, as your teacher and your best friend, I’m truly happy for you!”

Boyle smiled and said, “Long time no see, Mr. Lane. How have you been doing all these years?”

Chase said, “Well, I’m good. I’m still teaching as usual. It’s kind of boring but there’s one advantage working with young kids. I don’t grow old easily!”

Cherie said, “Mr. Lane, you’ve always looked young.”

Chase pointed at Cherie and looked at her with loving eyes, “You’re great with words, Cherie!”

Chase only realized after he saw the couple holding hands, “Are you guys… back together again?”

He looked very surprised.

“I didn’t see Cherie at the university’s homecoming the other time. I thought you said…”

Boyle explained, “I was still chasing after her back then and we just got back together.”

Chase was relieved and said, “I’m so happy to see that you guys got back together. I remembered that when I found out the prettiest girl from the English Department was dating the top student of the Capital City University, I couldn’t help but to think that you guys made such a good pair. I even told Cherie that you guys must invite me to your wedding when you get married.”

Chase could not help but to sigh when he thought of what happened after that. “However, after that… Hah, let’s not talk about the past. Coming to think of it, you guys must be meant for each other. You guys managed to get back together even after so many things had happened. I’m very happy for both of you.”

Boyle smiled and said, “We’re getting married soon. I’ll make sure to send you our wedding invitation.”

A spark of joy flashed across Chase’s eyes. “Alright, be sure to inform me then. Both of you were my students. Moreover, you guys knew each other ever since you were still studying in university and got back together even after seven years of not meeting each other. Both of you will be the legends of our university if I tell the students about your story.”

Chase was Cherie’s headroom teacher when she had a miscarriage back then. He felt guilty toward her as he was close to Boyle as well.

However, the couple managed to overcome the hardships and got back together.

Although he felt emotional whenever he saw them, he still felt very happy for them.

One of them was his best student while the other one was the first student he ever felt guilty about. Chase was truly happy to see them getting back together.

They came out from the university.

Cherie sat in front of Boyle’s bicycle. The cool wind gently brushed across her face.

She asked, “Why didn’t I know that we’re getting married soon?”

Boyle lowered his eyes to look at her with a smile. “Will you marry then?”

Cherie snorted and said, “I don’t want to marry a strange guy.”

“Why is the strange guy a handsome one?”

“He’s still strange even though he’s handsome. I’m not stupid.”

Boyle was amused. His mood lit up and he pressed a kiss on the top of the woman’s head.

There were stalls selling snacks along the street behind the university.
