Passionate Devotion: Master Fudd's Beloved Wife novel Chapter 958

Boyle brought Cherie to the cemetery in the noon.

Cherie was confused when they got out of the car as she asked, "What are we doing in a cemetery?"

Boyle cracked a gentle smile before hugging her shoulders as they walked forward. He said, "I'm bringing you to meet an old family member."

The plot of land he bought in the cemetery was the same one he had Huntley seek out for him. The scenery was beautiful since it was surrounded by nature.

It felt like the Garden of Eden.

Although this cemetery was quite popular amongst the wealthy, Boyle still decided to buy an entire acre of land just to house a single grave because of his love for Cherie's child.

There was a grave under a hundred-year-old willow tree as they approached.

Some writing was carved on the gravestone. Moses' name was carved on the top and was followed by,

'Beloved father: Boyle Lawson.'

‘And Beloved mother: Cherie Fudd.'

The instant Cherie saw Moses' grave, she was completely stunned as she stood frozen in her spot.

Boyle gently placed the bouquet of flowers in his hands at the foot of the grave as he squatted down and started cleaning up the fallen leaves around the grave.

"I had Huntley look for this plot of land when I returned to our country back then. I thought that the environment was pretty nice when I visited so I decided to build an empty grave for our child here.

"I named him Moses as it’s inspired by both our names. I'm not sure if you like it or not.

"We haven't reconciled yet when I returned back then. Well, since you didn't even want to see me back then, it didn’t feel right for me to bring it up to you. Hence, I decided to name our child on my own."

Cherie was teary-eyed as she squatted down before reaching out to touch Moses' gravestone. However, a subtle smile could be seen on her lips.

She said, "The name… Moses… sounds pleasant… I love it."

Boyle stared at the side of her white tender little face with a loving gaze as he chuckled and said, "I'm glad that you like it."

Boyle continued, "Shania said that the only reason you'd hallucinate about Little Bean Sprout was because of losing Moses seven years ago. Cherie, I want you to know that I've never once abandoned either you or Moses. I didn't know that you were pregnant back then until you slipped and fell. My entire world crumbled when I learned of your miscarriage.

"I'm so sorry for a lot of things but I'm willing to make everything up to you with the rest of my life."

Boyle held onto her little hands tightly before pulling her into his arms.

Cherie buried herself in Boyle's chest as she reached out to hug his waist.

Both Boyle and Cherie stayed by Moses' grave for the entire afternoon.

The duo hiked down the hill while holding hands when evening came.

Calum was waiting for them at the bottom of the hill with his car.

There was no way a car could drive up the hill in the cemetery nor were there any cable cars that could bring them up the hill. Although the hill was not tall, there were a lot of steps they had to descend.

Boyle had no intention to have Cherie walk all the way down on her own.

Therefore, he squatted down in front of her, gave his shoulders a pat and said, "Hop on. I'll carry you down the hill."

Since Cherie was known to be lazy, she had no problem getting on Boyle's back.

It seemed like she had lost a significant amount of physical strength after she got sick.

As Cherie laid on top of his shoulder, she said while staring at the side of his handsome face, "You used to… carry me like this… back then when we were… at Pride Mountain."

Boyle laughed as he said, "We should return to Pride Mountain next time when we're free."

He made a wish on Pride Mountain seven years ago. It seemed it was now time for him to return to fulfill his end of the promise he made to Buddha.

Cherie frowned and said, "I don't want to go."

Boyle was stunned as he asked, "What's wrong?"

Cherie said, "The sweeping monk… was too evil… back then. He cursed us… if it wasn't for him… I don't think… we would've broken up… back then."
