In the end, Old Master Fudd could not drink anymore and had hangover soup before resting. Harrison also went back to his room to play games too.
Cherie was playing with her phone the entire time when Heaton and Boyle were drinking. As she could not stand the boredom anymore, she yawned and excused herself to her room.
Verian was the only one accompanying them. She would occasionally persuade them to stop drinking.
Heaton and Boyle stopped drinking when they finished the third bottle of whiskey.
They were a little tipsy and reeked of alcohol before they finally left the table.
Verian called Harrison to carry Boyle to the guest room.
She then carried Heaton to their bedroom. “Aren’t you having any gastric pain after drinking so much?” she muttered.
Heaton tittered. “I have you by my side. You’ll pass me medication and make honey lemon for me, won’t you?”
Verian glared at him and complained, “You’re heavy. I bet Jelly Bean will blame you for making Boyle drunk.”
Heaton huffed. “Would she dare? I’m her father. If she dares to blame me, I’ll chase her out of the house!”
Heaton was a little proud and egoistic after drinking.
Verian found it hilarious. “Are you certain you’ll do that? If you chase her out of the house, she’ll seek Boyle for shelter and never come back to visit you anymore.”
Heaton frowned in displeasure. “Let’s see if she dares!” he exclaimed.
Verian gently placed Heaton in bed and covered him with a blanket.
Heaton was not completely drunk. He could still think logically.
Verian glanced at him and grumbled, “Are you willing to chase Jelly Bean out of the house? You’re such a liar.”
He would definitely be the first person who disagrees with chasing her out of the house.
Heaton rested his head against the headboard. He closed his eyes and sighed. “This little girl. I’m the one who raised her and she just registered her marriage to a man without notifying us beforehand. I’m pissed.”
Verian sighed as well. “We’ll have to marry her off anyway. At this point, we can only give them our blessings.”
Heaton was agitated. “He better not lie to Jelly Bean. If I catch him using small tricks to play with her feelings, I’ll strip his skin off!”
Verian chuckled as she saw his ferocious look. “Boyle looks like an honest and reliable man. Besides, I can sense he’s genuine toward Jelly Bean. You can sense that he loves her from the way he treats Cherie.”
Heaton huffed and arrogantly said, “Isn’t that what he’s supposed to be? My daughter is raised like a princess in our house. Do you think I’m willing to see her suffer because of another man? Forget about marrying Jelly Bean if he’s unwilling to pamper her!”
Verian knew that Heaton loved his daughter and pampered her a lot. However, since Boyle and Jelly Bean had registered their marriage, they had to organize a wedding as soon as possible.
“What do you think about their wedding?”
Heaton looked annoyed when Verian mentioned the wedding. “Why are you in such a hurry? Let it be. We shouldn’t be the only one who’s worrying about this matter. In my opinion, I don’t mind raising Jelly Bean for a couple more years. It’s not like we can’t afford to raise her.”
Verian agreed with Heaton. “That’s true. Jelly Bean is a girl, after all.”
…
Meanwhile, Harrison carried Boyle into the guest room and placed him in bed.
Before Harrison was able to leave the room, Boyle grabbed his hand. “Rie.”
Harrison was speechless.
He retracted his hand and the intimate nickname sent goosebumps all over his body.
“I’m not Rie. I’m your brother-in-law!”
Harrison felt disgusted after being touched by Boyle. He was a real man!
He quickly left the guestroom to avoid being harassed by Boyle.
At the same time, Verian came out of the bedroom. She called Harrison and asked, “Harrison, how’s Boyle?”
“He’s drunk. He held my hand and called me Rie just now. I nearly vomited.”
Verian laughed. “Your sister is probably asleep. Get a bowl of hangover soup and a cup of hot lemon tea for Boyle. Your dad and Boyle had quite a few drinks today. He’ll probably vomit late at night if he sleeps without drinking it.”
“I’m not doing it. I’ll ask sis.”
