One morning, Boyle woke up and realized Cherie had disappeared.
That was a really rare situation. Such an incident almost never happened before because Cherie never woke up earlier than Boyle.
Boyle searched the whole mansion. He was anxious when he could not find Cherie anywhere in the house.
He called Cherie and noticed she left her phone at home.
He grew more anxious. He put on his shoes and wanted to go out to look for her.
However, he bumped into someone at the door in a flurry.
That person was holding a huge fish bowl. The water in the bowl spilled due to their collision.
Boyle panicked. His voice became louder as he said, “Where did you go?”
Hugging the fish bowl, Cherie said, “I bought a fish for you.”
Boyle was speechless.
He took a deep breath and calmed himself down. He tried to ease his distraught.
Cherie frowned and said, “It’s heavy. Why are you not helping me carry this?”
It was only then that Boyle came back to his senses and saw the fish bowl in her hands. He let out a sigh and took the fish bowl from her.
Then, he placed it on the shelf.
The woman behind him pouted and said, “I went out early in the morning to buy you a fish. Why do you look so moody?”
Boyle lifted his hand and pinched the bridge of his nose. He pulled her into his embrace and stared straight into her eyes. “It’s fine if you want to go out and buy me a fish, but why didn’t you bring your phone with you? Did you know how worried I was?”
“I forgot my phone.”
She walked up to the shelf, put her hand into the bowl, and played with the goldfish inside. “Boyle, I bought the most expensive fish. The owner of the stall in the market said that this fish is an expensive species.”
Boyle walked up to her and hugged her from behind. Looking at the fish swimming around in the fish bowl, he kissed her neck gently and said in a hoarse voice, “Why did you suddenly want to buy me a fish?”
“Well, I fed your fish too much and it died the other time. Therefore, I’m paying you back with another fish. Are you surprised?”
Boyle looked at her tiny face. He was amused and angry at the same time. He let out a small laugh and said, “Yes, I’m surprised. I’m shocked and surprised.”
“Why are you shocked?”
Boyle said half-jokingly, “This was the first time I didn’t see you after I woke up. I thought you were kidnapped.”
Cherie was speechless.
“That kidnapper must be a ghost. If not, how would you not realize it if I was kidnapped?”
