That night, Brad slept in the guest room. After taking a shower, he lay on the large bed in the guest room and called Alex. "What kind of bright idea was that? I almost froze to death!"

Alex feigned innocence. "I had nothing to do with it, Brad. It was Sammy's idea. If you've got a problem, take it up with him!" He couldn't help but laugh as he said that.

In truth, he and Sammy hadn't gone far earlier. They had been hiding by the bar's back door the whole time. When they saw Nadine helping Brad out of the private room, they decided to stick around for the show and followed them from a distance.

Of course, they witnessed Nadine shoving Brad into the fountain. Both of them burst out laughing at the sight.

Faced with Brad's questioning, he continued to joke around. "Are you alright, Brad? You didn't freeze, did you? Also, is everything still working down there? I'm telling you, you need to go to the hospital. If it's not working anymore, Nadine will definitely kick you to the curb."

Alex laughed uproariously. Then, fearing that Brad might come after him, he hurriedly hung up the phone. After that, he laughed even harder.

Furious as he was, Brad realized there was nothing he could do to Alex over the phone. He tossed his phone aside, lay back on his pillow, and went to sleep. Still, his mind raced as he thought about how he would get back at Nadine for what she had done.

As the night gave way to day, Brad came down with a high fever.
