Even though Jean insisted that Adam had harassed her and hired people to assault her, Brad still couldn't bring himself to believe it. He knew exactly what kind of person his grandfather was. Although the old man favored Nadine, he would never resort to such petty and underhanded tactics.

Knowing his grandfather, Adam wouldn't have waited this long if he really wanted to have someone beat Jean up. He would've had their family bodyguards deal with her long ago. Therefore, he doubted her words. But he didn't let it show.

Remembering the real reason he was there, Brad decided to ask about the photos.

He had someone examine the photos Nadine sent him, and they concluded that they were not edited or photoshopped; they were all taken under normal conditions.

In fact, it was even possible to estimate where the photographer had been standing based on the angles, and a few of the pictures appeared to be taken by Jean herself.

Even though Jean kept her head down, making it impossible to see her expression, Brad could still tell something was wrong. If the photos were all composites, why was she avoiding eye contact now?

Brad rubbed his fingers together, his beautiful almond-shaped eyes narrowing slightly, his gaze turning increasingly cold. "Do you really not know what I'm talking about? Should I look into this and find out who sent those photos to Nadine, then?"

Nadine had told him that all the photos were from Jean. Sometimes, they were sent from her own number, other times she had someone else send them, but the content was always the same. They were always pictures of her and Brad, wrapped together.

At the time, he thought Nadine was being spiteful, slandering Jean out of jealousy. But now, seeing Jean lower her head and avoid his gaze, the scale of his heart began to tip toward Nadine.
