In the past, if Jean had done something wrong and then questioned Brad about it, he would've thought it was because she was madly in love with him and had suffered a lot for him.
But now that she uttered those words without a hint of remorse, he was struck by how unfamiliar she now seemed. Despite loving her for so many years, he felt like he was seeing the real her for the first time ever.
Did she really send Nadine their intimate photos with different phone numbers just because she was jealous of Nadine?
In his doubt, he instinctively thought of Tyler. He despised Tyler and had always seen him as the biggest obstacle between him and Nadine. Yet, he'd never sent photos of him and Nadine to Tyler.
Whenever they crossed paths, he'd just resolve their conflicts in a direct albeit crude manner. He'd always confront the issue head-on, never resorting to such underhanded tactics.
On top of that, there was the time Jean had deliberately slept next to him, and the thought of it still made him sick. If it had been just that one incident, he wouldn't have felt so strongly against her. But now, with these two incidents combined, his distaste for her grew stronger.
Even if she loved him, there were lines she shouldn't cross. She should never stoop to such dishonorable methods. It was then that his trust in Jean started to crumble.
"You're allowed to be jealous of her, but you shouldn't have resorted to such underhanded tactics." Brad looked at Jean coldly, as if he was looking at a stranger.
