Chapter 332 Do Not Let Me See You Again

Since she had no idea where to look for him, she decided to use the most straightforward approach–going directly to his house to find him.
In just a short while, she arrived at the Gilbert Manor and pounded aggressively on the door. “Wesley, come out now! Be a man and show yourself!”
She waited for what seemed like forever, but still received no response.
Her irritation grew. What the hell’s going on? Where on earth did he go?
At that moment, Wesley’s neighbor happened to return home.
Seeing Madelyn pounding on the door, he approached and said, “Young lady, save it. Mr. Gilbert is definitely not home at this hour. His butler’s on vacation, too. No one’s home.”
Madelyn was taken aback, asking the neighbor, “Do you happen to know where Mr. Gilbert has gone?” The neighbor shook his head helplessly. “How would I know of his whereabouts?”
After a pause, he added, “But Mr. Gilbert seems to be in a rather foul mood these past couple of days. He comes home drunk almost every night. You can even smell the alcohol from a distance.”
So, does that mean he’s out for a drink?
Instantly, she had an idea of where he might be–the same club where Wesley had sent a message to her last time, asking her to pick him up
If I’m not mistaken, he’s definitely there.
She instantly thanked the neighbor. Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.” The neighbor smiled and watched as Madelyn hailed a taxi and hurriedly disappeared. into the distance.
Soon after, she reached Elite Club.
After getting out of the car, she headed straight inside and scanned the crowd. Sure enough, she spotted Wesley sitting in a corner.
The table in front of Wesley was filled with an array of alcoholic beverages, each with varying alcohol content.
Without a doubt, he was about to get himself intoxicated.
Madelyn immediately rushed over. “Wesley Gilbert, I knew I’d find you here.”
“Why are you here?” Wesley asked, surprised. He hadn’t expected Madelyn to come here.
His expression then turned sour, and he dismissed Madelyn, “I own this club, so you’d better leave now. You’re not welcome here.”

Wesley immediately sprang to his feet. “Madelyn, wh
you calling a coward?”
“You, of course!” She glared daggers at him and lectured, “You pushed Harriet to Sebastian when you couldn’t win her over yourself and played the victim after that. What a joke! Forgive my frankness, Wesley. but has Sebastian ever treated you poorly all these years? He has always placed great importance on you, treating you as his right–hand man, his one and only best buddy. But what about you? Look at what you’ve done! I’m curious; do you think everyone else is blind except for you? All along, you’ve been imposing your presumptuous views on Sebastian, and Sebastian never said anything. Now that he’s going against your

wishes, you went off the grid and stopped showing up at work. Hah, don’t he’s going against your
childish?”
Madelyn ranted in one breath.
Wesley, already in a bad mood, was irked even more by her words.
Finally, he couldn’t help roaring in anger, “Are you f*cking done?”
Madelyn scoffed. “Not at all. What, can’t stand me? Why don’t you hit me?”
“Don’t think I won’t!” Livid, Wesley raised his hand, his eyes wide with fury.
However, his hand paused in mid–air.
Thoughts raced through his mind, and in the end, he suppressed his anger and lowered his hand, growling, “I never hit women, let alone someone like you, I wouldn’t want to sully my hands by touching you. Get away from me now and don’t let me see you again!”
Madelyn chuckled in exasperation. “You think I’d sully your hands? What a joke! I’d say you’re the one dirtying my eyes! To tell you the truth, I only realized today that I’ve been overestimating you all along. Even though we had our disagreements in the past, I’ve always thought you were a decent person who was at least loyal to your buddies. Hence, I never spoke ill of you to Sebastian. But what about you? Don’t think I’m unaware of all the bad things you’ve said about me behind my back to Sebastian! I’ve only kept quiet to save you from humiliation, and besides, I don’t want to drive a wedge between the two of you. But now it seems, my worries were completely unnecessary. You call yourself a man, Wesley? You’re nothing more than a coward who runs away from problems! Fine, if you’re reluctant to be buddies with Sebastian, you might as well sever ties with him. Honestly, I think he’d be better off without you. From now on, stay as far away from me as you can!”
After yelling at him and venting her displeasure, Madelyn turned and stormed off.
Wesley was left speechless by her words.
He stood there, stunned, before finally slumping onto the couch.
Meanwhile, on the second floor, Hayden and Janessa watched the entire scene unfold. Entertained, Janessa said, “Sometimes what you’re searching for comes to you when you least expect it.”
“Hayden, it’s your time to shine,” said Janessa, casting a flirtatious glance at Hayden, a triumphant smile playing on her lips.
