Chapter 65 Trample His Feelings
After thinking of where to go for a stroll, Madelyn suddenly suggested, “Let’s go to the beach!”
Seeing her brimming with such enthusiasm, Sebastian found it hard to refuse, so he agreed. Roughly ten minutes later, the two of them arrived at the seaside.

The city was originally a coastal one, renowned as a popular tourist destination. Given that it was summer, it was only natural for the beach to be teeming with people.
Everywhere you looked, men and women were baring their arms and legs, dressed in swimsuits, completely indifferent to the gazes of others.
The children had brightly colored floaties and scampered along the beach with their short legs. They would occasionally stumble, only to pick themselves up again. It was a sight utterly endearing to behold.
Nearby, small stalls and vendors displayed a variety of swimsuits, waterproof glasses, lifebuoys, and even waterproof pouches for phones among other items.
Some were coming out of the sea, drenched from head to toe, while others kept diving into it.
In summary, everyone’s face was lit up with smiles, appearing incredibly joyous.
Madelyn watched them, and her mood suddenly brightened.
“Sebastian, shall we go and have some fun?” Madelyn proposed spontaneously.
The childlike excitement on her face suggested that she had completely forgotten about her injury.
Sebastian couldn’t help but comment, “Your hand is already dislocated, and you’re still not taking it easy?”
Although it was a sarcastic remark, there was absolutely no hint of blame.
Madelyn felt her heart warm and responded with a wide grin, “Oh, don’t worry about it. I’ll be careful not to use this hand too much. Besides, I’m not going in the water, just dipping my feet. You can relax.”
However, Sebastian was still worried. “The temperature difference between day and night at the seaside is quite significant. Your injury hasn’t healed yet, what if you catch a cold again?”
Madelyn couldn’t help but feel like laughing at his consideration.
This is the first time I discovered that Sebastian can also have such tender moments when speaking other than the usual indifference.
“Sebastian, stop worrying. I definitely won’t catch a cold, I promise!” Madelyn assured as she patted her chest to show her confidence.
Seeing her like that, Sebastian couldn’t bear to refuse and simply nodded in agreement.
After that, Madelyn, with childlike enthusiasm, spread her arms wide and joyously ran toward the beach.

a deep blue, and the scenery was stunning. I remember Sebastian had spared no expense that day, reserving the entire beach to host a party. Numerous friends and relatives had attended. “Mrs. Lockhart, did you know Mr. Lockhart has a surprise prepared for you today?” Malcolm promised Sebastian not to reveal the surprise to me. However, he couldn’t help but spill it upon seeing me. Contrary to his expectations, I rolled my eyes at his revelation. “Surprise? What on earth are you talking about?” Malcolm said mysteriously, “You’ll know when the time comes.” I, however, wore a look of disdain and scoffed. “Who cares what he’s prepared? I certainly don’t want his worthless stuff!” Malcolm’s face paled, and he didn’t say anything else. A short while later, Beatrice and a few of her besties came in, all equally excited. “Madelyn, you need to go outside and see! Sebastian has prepared a huge surprise for you!” Her friends chimed in. “Yeah, I’m so envious! Ah!” Intrigued, I couldn’t help but wonder what kind of dumb setup the annoying Sebastian had prepared, so I decided to go out and take a look. I was astonished the moment I stepped outside. Sebastian stood tall on a massive luxury yacht, bathed in sunlight, looking extraordinarily handsome. He looked at me sincerely and said, “Madelyn, today marks the first anniversary of our engagement. This yacht is a custom–made gift for you. Do you like it?” I never imagined he would prepare a yacht for me! The present was so cool and a pleasant surprise! However, I quickly remembered it was a gift from Sebastian. Immediately, repulsion washed over me. “Are you crazy? Why did you give me a yacht?” I rolled my eyes and walked away, leaving everyone in awkward silence. That night, fireworks decorated the sky, creating an atmosphere as lively as New Year’s. Everyone who attended the party couldn’t help but lament how incredibly blissful I was. At that time, I found the idea of being Sebastian’s wife utterly appalling. At that moment, my phone rang, and I reached for it. Noticing it was a call from Janessa, I immediately answered and heard Janessa’s frantic voice. “Madelyn, it’s terrible! Christopher has been in a car accident.” I was stunned. “What?” Janessa then urged, “Come quickly!” I was already irritated at the sight of Sebastian, so I couldn’t wait to leave when I heard something had happened to Christopher. “All right!” And so, Sebastian’s heartfelt preparation was squandered.
A hand waved in front of Madelyn’s eyes, snapping her out of her flashback.
“What are you thinking about?” Sebastian asked airily when he saw her spacing out.
Madelyn smiled awkwardly. “It’s nothing, just reminiscing about some things.”
Madelyn glanced at Sebastian and felt a wave of guilt surge within her.
I had let him down so terribly in my past life, carelessly trampling on his feelings. I must make amends in this lifetime.
Madelyn found herself growing more resolute at that thought. Yes, I must make up for it!
Following that, Madelyn suddenly took off her shoes.
Sebastian looked at her with a puzzled expression. “What are you doing?”
“It’s only natural to walk barefoot on the beach,” Madelyn responded with a playful laugh.
“But this-” Sebastian had a touch of worry in his eyes.
Madelyn, however, stepped onto the sand, and in an instant, the sand swallowed her feet.
Next, Madelyn attempted to take a few steps. The soft sand enveloped her feet, the sensation was incredibly exhilarating.
