Mikayla was speechless, Sharp questions came at her one after another. 

“Mister, you knew Ms. Salvatore was about to get married, yet you stayed involved. Do you have any other motives?” a reporter inquired.

Maxius had Mikayla shielded behind him. Faced with the reporters‘ increasingly probing questions, he showed a rare hint of anger. 

Mikayla came to her senses and grabbed Maxius, knowing he had no experience dealing with reporters. If they found any loopholes in his words, the situation could escalate and get out of hand. Besides, the whole thing was aimed at her. She had never expected Jaxon would use that trick against her. 

When the company’s security guards saw that, they rushed over and blocked the journalists, keeping them three feet away.
