Elodie frowned.
Sophie's smile softened, “So, does that mean the medicine is okay?”
“The medicine is fine, but Gordon won’t take it.”
“I know, he definitely won’t take it.”
“So, what did you come here for? Just to find out why he won’t take his medicine?”
“Knowing the reason makes things easier for me.”
As long as it wasn’t a problem with the medicine.
Sophie prepared to leave the café, but Elodie called out, “Mrs. Costello! Are you really going to let Burke International fall into my hands?”
Sophie stopped and turned, “If I’m not mistaken, Ms. Elodie, you’re planning a bit of a heist, trying to snag that 45% share from me? Those shares James left me are mine to sell. If I sell them to you, you’d be the largest shareholder in Burke International. When March rolls around, Bea, wanting to support you against me, will probably hand over her 10% of shares to you. With other shareholders on your side to oust me as the new CEO, you’d control 55% of the company, making you the top dog at Burke International. Even Bea wouldn’t be able to challenge you then.”
Elodie found Sophie’s words amusing.
Sophie continued, “You’ve thought this through, Ms. Elodie, but if I dare sell you the shares, would you dare buy them?”
Elodie raised an eyebrow, “Why wouldn’t I?”

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
