"Well, since Mr. Gordon's taken his medicine, he won't be throwing up. We wouldn't want that, now would we?"
Sophie nodded approvingly, "That's good to hear."
"Anything else, Ms. Sophie?"
"...No, nothing else."
"Alright then..."
"Have you guys had dinner yet?"
Sophie's sudden question caught Rick off guard.
How did we jump to dinner plans all of a sudden?
"...Not yet."
"Great! None of us have eaten either. I'll invite Mr. Gordon to join us in the dining room for dinner shortly!"
"That's..."
"I'll cook myself!"
Sophie blurted out before thinking.
After all, an apology should show genuine effort. And Jenna had mentioned earlier that day that for someone like Gordon, who is tough on the inside but appears soft on the outside, persistence is key.
"Ms. Sophie, there's really no need to trouble yourself..."
"It's no trouble at all. We haven't eaten either."
As she spoke, Sophie hurried downstairs. Adler and Jenna, who had just returned from a lavish candlelit dinner and were stuffed, were pulled to sit down in the living room.
Jenna and Adler were puzzled.
"What's going on? Isn't your engagement party later? Is this an early celebration?" Adler asked, confused.
"Pretty much! I'm about to make dinner, let's eat together in a bit!"

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
