Seeing Sophie stride confidently away from Gordon's study, Jenna quickly flashed her a thumbs-up and caught up, saying, "Sophie! You're so brave! You're like my hero!"
Jenna had been in Devonport for ages and had never seen anyone talk to Gordon like that.

Instantly, Jenna's eyes sparkled with newfound admiration for Sophie.
"You think... Gordon might seek revenge on me?"
Sophie's legs had actually turned to jelly when she spoke those words in the study.
Gordon was a tough nut to crack, even for Colby. Speaking so boldly in front of Gordon was only possible because he had a big heart. If it had been anyone less forgiving, who knows how they'd have made her pay.
"Ugh... Not sure, but I remember the last person who was disrespectful to Mr. Gordon couldn't get by in Devonport anymore." Jenna couldn't help but add, "Of course, what that person said wasn't as daring as what you said, so I can't even begin to imagine what might happen to you."
Hearing this, Sophie suddenly felt like surrendering: "Jenna... Do you think it's too late to apologize now?"
"Well... if you're sincere enough, maybe. But Gordon's got a tough personality; it might take some serious coaxing to get through to him."
Sophie was scared but didn't regret it.
If she hadn't been so firm about making Gordon take his medicine, he would never have agreed.
If he didn't take it, he might as well be waiting for death.
"Apologies can come slowly. After all, Gordon can't hold a grudge against me forever, right? The harsh words I said in front of him... he probably... won't take them to heart, right?"

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
