Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James) novel Chapter 1072

"I'm sorry, but I don't usually poison people. So, what you just ate for breakfast was poison-free. But, I did slip in some sleeping pills. You'll probably be out for about eight or nine hours."

Just as Sophie was about to leave, she paused and added, "Oh, right. After those eight or nine hours, you might find yourself air-shipped back to Devonport. I'll get in touch with Ms. Elodie to pick you up. Hope everything goes well for you when you get back."

It was pretty obvious Sophie didn’t mean a word of what she said.

If he ended up being sent back to Devonport like this, knowing Elodie, she'd definitely be furious with him.

"Sophie! You—"

Griffin tried to say something, but his eyelids were already heavy and his vision blurred. Within seconds, he collapsed to the floor.

"Oh, I forgot to mention, besides the sleeping pills, I added a tiny dose of a hallucinogen. Just get some good rest; you won't feel a thing on the way."

With that, Sophie turned and left the hotel.

Outside, a bodyguard opened the car door for Sophie and asked, "Ms. Sophie, are we heading back to the hospital?"

"Drive to the Minton estate."

"Yes, ma'am."

The Minton estate.

In the study, Odie was restlessly throwing darts.

"Boss, Sophie's here," Jonah reported from outside the door. Odie immediately stood up. "Is she here for payback?"

"Seems like it."

"Don't let her in!"

Before Odie could finish his sentence, Sophie had already kicked open the door.

It had been a while since Sophie last visited the Minton estate. She glanced around; the decor hadn’t changed a bit.

Polly, who was cleaning, looked up and saw Sophie. She was taken aback, but Sophie just gave her a brief glance, and they both acted like they had never met, without saying a word.
