"Yeah, I heard."
"I think Kiran might be spying on us."
Sophie didn't beat around the bush, laying out her suspicions directly. "Kiran, being the heir to the Pollard family, wouldn’t typically come himself. But seeing how close he is with Sandy, like they're real siblings, it throws me off. What's Kiran's angle in watching me?"
Despite everything, Burke Estate had been unusually calm.
If Kiran was truly as shrewd as the rumors suggested, how could he stay in Devonport for so long without making a move?
Sophie had let Kiran and Sandy stay at Burke Estate to keep an eye on them while they thought they were surveilling her.
But with time passing, nothing significant happened in Devonport.
"Haven’t you started doubting Kiran's identity already?"
"Doubting is one thing, figuring out his motives is another, and uncovering his real identity is yet another challenge."
Sophie shook her head slightly. "I can’t tell if he’s playing dumb or genuinely clueless. Looks like it's time to test him."
"Then let’s test him. Finding out what he’s really up to shouldn’t be too hard."
Sophie and Colby exchanged knowing glances, understanding each other's thoughts perfectly.
Meanwhile...
"Achoo!"
Angelo sneezed out of nowhere. Sandy, who was fiddling with her phone in Angelo’s room, looked up and said, "The weather in Summerfield is terrible. Bro, are you catching a cold?"
"Not really."
Angelo rubbed his nose. "I just suddenly felt a chill down my spine."
"A chill?"

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
