Odie glanced at his watch. It was 9:15 PM. An hour had slipped by, and he had no clue how the dinner party was going.
"Mr. Odie, with the support of you and Ms. Sophie, I believe my son’s future is looking very bright. Allow me to toast to you once more!" Mr. Donny said, beaming with joy. But Odie was beyond tired of the old man's endless chatter.
'Ding-ding—'
Just then, Odie’s phone vibrated. He looked down to see an unknown number flashing on the screen. But he recognized it immediately.
He answered the call, and Colby’s urgent voice came through, "There's a trap at the Pearl Hotel! Get your people in now!"
"What?!" Odie’s face turned ice cold, and the air around him seemed to freeze.
Mr. Donny, clueless about the situation, asked, "Mr. Odie, what's wrong?"
Before Mr. Donny could react, Odie had already grabbed him by the throat, his eyes dark and menacing. "So, you think you can play games with me, old man? If anything happens to Sophie, I’ll make sure the Spellman family pays dearly!"
With that, Odie grabbed his coat from the chair and barked at Jonah, "Start the car! Get our people to storm in!"
"Yes, boss!"
In no time, Odie’s car was speeding towards the Pearl Hotel.
"Boss, we’ve made contact with our team."
"What’s the situation?"

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
