"Trouble? What kind of trouble could there be?" Angelo walked out of the kitchen, a chicken drumstick hanging from his mouth.
Sandy, clutching her phone, said anxiously, "Dad's not answering my calls!"
Angelo rolled his eyes. "Seriously? Is him not answering your call that rare? The old man never answers mine!"
"How can you compare yourself to me? Daddy adores me! He has never not answered my calls before!" Sandy was on the verge of tears.
Sophie chimed in, "Could it be that he just didn't see it?"
"That's impossible! Daddy is always glued to his phone. I called him last night, and he didn't answer. He should have called me back today! But now, no one picks up!"
"Why don't you just call the house phone then?" Angelo suggested.
He immediately took out his cell phone, dialed the landline at home, and after a single ring, the call was answered, "Hello, you've reached the Pollard residence."
"Hey, it's your young master. Put my father on the phone."
"The young master? Is it really you?"
"No kidding! Who else would it be? Hurry up and get the old man on the phone!"
"Young master... the master, he... he's..."
Hearing the hesitation on the other end, Angelo's tone grew serious, "What's going on? What happened to the old man?"
"The master... the master has been hospitalized!"
Angelo's heart raced. "Which hospital? What's wrong with him? Is it serious?"
"It's very serious. The doctor said... it's just a matter of days now."

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
