Caelum couldn't help but shake his head. The young lady from the Russell family was indeed charming, but unfortunately, it seemed their own Aiden wasn’t lucky enough to win her favor.
Meanwhile, Sandy and Angelo had to rush to the airport without any delay. Sophie always felt there was something fishy about Caelum's sudden illness. He seemed perfectly healthy the last time they met. So, what went wrong so suddenly?
"Sophie, either eat your food or don’t, but could you stop poking your rice with your fork? You’re turning perfectly good rice into mush!" Odie said, frowning deeply across the table.
Snapping back to reality, Sophie noticed she had poked several holes in the rice in her bowl. While dishing out some vegetables for Sophie, Colby, without looking up, said to Odie, "Focus on your own meal and stop meddling."
Feeling frustrated but unable to retort, Odie kept his silence.
Jonah burst in through the door, exclaiming, "Boss, we found an underground passage beneath the Pearl Hotel. Following it, we discovered it leads straight to a church."
"A church?" Colby asked.
"Yeah, a big one on Chemical Road. There's a priest who gives sermons there during the day," Jonah explained.
"What kind of sermons? The Bible?" Colby inquired.
Jonah shrugged, "I’m not sure about that."
Sophie added, "I saw those people yesterday, all wearing masks. The atmosphere was creepy, like some cult. It felt like a ritual, and we were the intended offerings."

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
