"Never."
Hearing this, Colby’s tone softened. "Alright, just remember you said that."
He left Gordon’s study and headed downstairs, where Sophie and Jenna were chatting with Adler. Seeing Colby descend, Adler called out, "What took you so long? Odie's already gone!"
"Uh-huh," Colby replied, clearly indifferent about Odie’s departure.
Sophie asked, "Did the talk not go well?"
"Seriously? Even you couldn't get Mr. Gordon to talk? That guy’s got a vault for a mouth!" Jenna exclaimed, nudging Adler.
"Cut the useless chatter! We've been chasing this Devonport treasure forever, and we still don’t know what it is!" Jenna scolded.
"At least we know Mr. Gordon’s in on it. Right?" Sophie looked at Colby, searching for answers in his eyes.
Colby sighed. "If he doesn’t want to talk, not even the Grim Reaper could make him."
"The Grim Reaper? Gordon would make the Grim Reaper take a detour!" Adler marveled. "Is there anyone more tight-lipped than Gordon? No wonder he’s in intelligence. A couple hundred years ago, he'd be the top spy master around!"
"Will you ever shut up with your nonsense?" Jenna snapped.
"I’m just telling the truth! Don’t believe me? Ask Colby."
Colby walked up to Sophie and said, "His mouth is tight, but it’s not as annoying as Adler’s."
"Hey! You!"

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
